ok guys tomorrow is my big day im already nervious ,my husband flew for the first time on an airplane ,it was so funny cuz foor soe reason he thought it was likean elvator dr ,but as soon as the plane departed he realized it was not like he thought ,jajajajaj he didnt know if t throw up scream ,but he sure was chanting ,IM NEVER GONNA FLY AGAIN,that was funny for me ,i wish i couldve been there to see it ,once the plane was in the air he felt better and forgot what he said .he did his lab this morning and now he is on his way for medical ,but im already so nervious for tomorrow so please guys im asking for some prayers for us for tomorrow .i will appreciate and andrea remember it will be friday when u can log in

Awww, I'm here! And speak of the devil-the Scot is in this thread as I type!!!! Hi SCOT!!!! How was your trip?

I'm sooo not ready to go. I mean, I'm ready, but I still haven't printed off my emails! I printed some and now can't find them. ha! I guess they're at home but I'm not taking a chance...I'm just taking a few other papers which I already sent, and can't imagine they'd ask for...but I don't want to take the chance. I'm halfway packed! Work has been crazy and I still have sooo much to do. However, I'm so excited!!!!! I'm not nervous for the interview one bit. It'll be fine!!!!!

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

We're still here just busy. I'm trying to sell my house and all my possessions and we are organising flights and accomodation in London for the interview and a dirty weekend! :devil:

Okay, so I'm leaving Friday morning. YAY! I'm debating on what evidence to take still. Any suggestions? I have the infamous photobook, and I'm going thru emails since our wedding date (July). I'm bringing the AOS packet, though I can't imagine why since there are zero issues. But what else? I also have the packet of paperwork I sent to USCIS with evidence of trips. I am leaning towards bringing NOTHING actually! They probably won't even ask for a thing. Anyway, let me know what you all think I should bring!

We are still here. I'm still sick! It's a month today. We are really busy trying to organize for his coming here, the trip to London for the interview and the holidays. I just have not been very good company so rather than be mopey on here I've been keeping to myself. I was gonna read what I missed but there are nearly 5000 posts since my last login!! Yikes!

I'll never catch up now!

Good Morning!! One more day before you leave!!! You must be excited!! :dance:

I cannot believe you aren't going to bring all of your evidence! Me, I've got copies of all the paperwork from the beginning of this whole journey that I am taking. Cairo is notorious for wanting to reschedule the appointment because they can't find the packet from the NVC, so I am going to make sure we have it all. Also I have sent copies of emails, snail mail, phone logs, text logs, 2 photo albums to show proof since we first met. I will probably have one suitcase just of documents that I bringing! Better to be safe than sorry! Oh also I had sent the original documents of my divorce from my ex-husband. I have a couple of interviews from Egypt and at least 2 different people said that they requested the original divorce documents from the petitioner. Again, I don't want anything to delay us!!

This is really starting to get depressing!!! Everytime I talk with my husband he keeps asking me if I hear anything and why haven't I called??? I truly think they keep track of how many we call and they say give us 6 to 8 weeks to process your papers :whistle: I don't want to annoy them into putting ours at the bottom the stack each time!!! :blush:
