Hey guys! Congrats to everyone that has completed and gotten their interview dates!

I just turned in my wife's IV package after a month delay in getting the damned PCC and forms from Bangladesh.

I am waiting for an RFE though because my wife (or her dad) couldn't find the freakin' original birth certificate. I sent in the copy and my wife's in the process of getting another "original" copy just in case we do actually get an RFE. I am hoping the photocopy will be enough, but I guess I won't know until an RFE is issued, but I am hoping they just ask for the original at the interview.

Wondering if anyone else went through something similar?

Thanks!

:unsure: That is what our RFE was, my husband sent me his certified english birth certificate and they wanted the ORIGINAL arabic one. I guess to make sure the english one was correct?? The way I figured out I was getting a RFE was because usually it takes about 7-10 days before you get a login failed on the website and I went for 17 days with nothing then finally called the AVR and it stated I was getting a RFE...:angry:

Good luck!!

Thanks Sam! My wife got her Birth Certificate and its on its way here. I am going to check call NVC and see if I can preemptively figure out if I have an RFE. I hope everything else goes well with this process. I really want us to be together for Valentine's :-)

Looking at your ticker reminded me that its been exactly 4 months since our last kiss...

I hope that NVC processes your RFE asap (wow -- soo many acronyms) so you and your spouse can be here asap too.

The weird part is, in Bangladesh, the government (the official birth certificate) is in English, but the municipal (local) birth registry is in Bengali. Either way, I hope this passes smoothly too......

Goodluck and thanks so much for your help!!
