Does anyone know how to get the "NVC left" and "Embassy Received" dates? Do I just call NVC and get a tracking number or what do I do? Sorry... it's just the completist in me :)

Hi Mark! 67 packages were sent out on 12/2. The good thing is only one went to Lima so it's yours! It arrived at the DHL facility today at 1:06PM (not sure what time zone or where that facility is!). Some of the packages have already arrived at their destinations and the DHL website reflects who signed for them. Yours should be there soon!!!!

No. I missed this before. How exactly did you track this (I have never quite understood the track by reference thing. I am not sure if I have the spacing/case, etc correct)?

Mark

If I had a date at least that is a light at the of this portion of the tunnel!!! I just keep logging into the website hoping for a failed login!!

I know. I thought that too. But I assure you, when you get that date, the arms on the clock seem to go BACKWARDS.

Sometimes it takes some fiddling with it.

Go to the DHL site and under the track by reference, do this:

Put in EXP 03 DEC 2009A

Set the date range from December 3 thru December 4.

I found great comfort in that darned DHL page. At least it made me feel like I was DOING SOMETHING other than just freakin waiting.

The scroll key is your BFF! Here's what I wrote yesterday-I tracked it for you:

JustJ saved my butt last month with this! Thanks again JustJ!

Mark, yours went out 12/2 so put that date in. That's when they sent 67 packages...

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

BQ, I have said that all along. The long wait at the USCIS was way easier than the two months we spent at NVC. And the clock runs backwards while you're waiting for the interview. This is terrible.....it's just mere hours now, and I just want to shut my eyes until it's over. The Hubs goes to bed in half an hour. I'm so scared.

found cookies......:pop: may as well devour those. Be a shame to just let 'em sit there.
