Congratulations to all those who got their visa, got their interview dates, got sign-in failed off the NVC site and those who have had progress with NVC. We have been pretty busy the past few days organizing everything i will need for the interview and checking on airlines for best airfare deals. 10 days to go before our interview and more than being nervous, I'm pretty much excited because that means it's one step closer for us to be together.

Mark, you rock!

Macymace-what exactly are you bringing to the interview???? Ours is the day after yours!

Don't worry Finn!! You're going to be there with him!! Just make sure you have all the copies of the papers you sent it!

I'll all ready sent my husband all the copies of emails and phone call logs and 2 photo albums!!

Just a FYI on our journey...just checked the AVR and it said that it's update that it received the documents requested to give 6-8 weeks for them to process it!!!! Come on login failed~!~~~~~~:thumbs:

First of all, congrats to Randy! And Sam, I'm not worried, I'm just confused. ha! I front-loaded the application-I had four binders or something like that full of stuff! I mean, everything I had! Letters from the 80s, etc...I certainly don't want to bring all that again. I assume it all goes to the embassy anyway, but maybe not. Anyway, I was just going to bring my rejected photo book and some emails since our wedding in July, and a copy of the AOS and 230 packet. I can't imagine them questioning our relationship after I show them a picture of us together in Australia in 1988!

Next week I'll probably start stressing! Are you really sending all copies of emails? I think we have 15,000 of them now!

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

Does anyone know how to get the "NVC left" and "Embassy Received" dates? Do I just call NVC and get a tracking number or what do I do? Sorry... it's just the completist in me :)

@Mark! I don't really know that..it's hard to check on dhl website..maybe you can email the embassy about it..and the instruction how to contact the embassy, it's on the email that NVC notices you about the interview date. For me, I just assumed that the embassy got my package already since I got the snail mail/official letter from the embassy here.

Good luck with your interview..

Cheers!

I remember you talking about the package you sent to the uscis when you first applied and got a package back from them!! :star:

Heehee, we definitely don't have that many emails, but yes, I made copies of all of them and sent them to him! It was maybe 100 pages.

Through the DHL website Mark-though it's tricky and I'd have to look thru emails to give you instructions!

Hi Mark! 67 packages were sent out on 12/2. The good thing is only one went to Lima so it's yours! It arrived at the DHL facility today at 1:06PM (not sure what time zone or where that facility is!). Some of the packages have already arrived at their destinations and the DHL website reflects who signed for them. Yours should be there soon!!!!
