Wow! Just woke up from a good night sleep and, presto, word came from NVC that my interview is set for December 14th in Manila. Best wishes to everybody!

Awesome we got our email also today for December 9 in Manila :dance::dance::dance:

congrats... when do you plan to do the medical at st. lukes?

Congratulations to you too! I'll be at St. Lukes on November 23rd & 24th.

ok... you dont want to do it next week? i'll be in st. lukes on nov. 17 & 18...

The 17th and 18th are too close for me. I'll still have to get me a plane ticket from Davao to Manila and we haven't made the hotel reservation at Bayview either.

Finally, case completed 11/13/09 per AVR. 15 days from the day DS230 package was delivered and 35 days from day case number was creater at NVC. Don't have an interview date yet, hence can't tell if our case was completed within the schedule time frame to qualify for a December interview.

To all who've had interviews schedule, congrads on a successful vj.

Your case was accepted and review bega the 4th and ours the 6th but I can still login and AVR still says 6-8 weeks but is that just a standard AVR at this step? I'm hoping to be case complete next week.

Hello, May Filers!

How is everyone doing so far? I just got a reply today (11/14/09) that I sent on 10/21/09 regarding a proof of payment for IV Bill plus additional missing info along with the letter (see letter below).

===============================================================

Dear Sir:

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

According to our records, your Immigrant Visa Processing Fee payment was made on-line through the Department of State's website: www.ImmigrantVisas.State.Gov, Fee Collection.

In addition, a letter was mailed to the Agent of Choice or Attorney of Record requesting the amendment of previously submitted applicant forms and/or required applicant documents that have not been submitted. The documents listed on the letter and/or the amended forms must be submitted to the NVC in order to complete the processing of this petition.

If the beneficiary needs a form, please visit www.ImmigrantVisas.State.Gov, Applicant Document Processing to download a copy of the DS-230 and/or the instructions. If you do not have access to the internet, you may wish to visit your local library or an internet café.

hey andrea, glad your rfe is easy to resolve. looks like both of our husbands will have january interview dates. i am ok with it since he wasn't planning on coming until the end of january. i know he was hoping for a december date, but if he would have listened to me months ago when i told him about the passport pcc, maybe he would have gotten his wish :lol:

Thanks K! You know I don't mind a January interview date, that kind of helps out with getting past Christmas and unable to be there with him. Now I can at least try to be there in January! It kind of depressed me because I wasn't hearing anything from NVC, but now I feel like there is a reason for why we are waiting for the interview~ God does things for a reason and it will be revealed to us!

So everybody who is waiting on NOA2s (MsSheka!) and log in failed or case completes (Di and Mark!) It'll happen! I know it makes you feel crazy and left behind but it will happen!!:thumbs:

We are here for each other to give support and to know we are not alone!! :star:

Thanks Karin! Yes, it'll be a lot of fun actually! I'm excited for my hubby's interview!

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!
