For those that did signature confirmation, who signed for your DS-230 packet? I have heard most of you got a real person. I checked today and mine was just signed by an NVC stamp.

I honestly dont recall but I know that it got there.

congrats to all who got the december interview...unfortunately for me I missed it :(....spoke to NVC and they said you might get the january interview when we schedule next month...

Is the second week of the month pretty final or do they schedule interviews in later weeks too? I thought I have seen someone getting interview emails in the later part of the month...

So if we dont get an interview today it wont be until January?

I'm just speculating here, but if you haven't received the log-in failure and/or case complete this week, chances are probably higher that you're getting a Jan interview. Your case has to be complete to get an interview date, and December will proably have less days for interviews because of the holidays...I know, bummer...

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

So they only schedule interviews the second week of the month no matter which country?

^ thats what NVC guy told me...He said even though your case was completed in the second week there were more people ahead of you so you missed the december interview...if we get our number in december they will schedule us for January...so looks like they only schedule in the second week of the month for the next month...sucks

We are still waiting for a case complete. I was told call back next week if we havent heard but AVR says 6-8 weeks. I wonder if the operators are just telling us whatever gets us off the phone?

I'm kind of worried about the DS-230. The question that worries me is the one where it asks about the residence for atleast 6 months since the age of 16. I heard we should leave no gaps in the timeframe but my wife has stayed in places for like 2 or 3 months so it was left out since the question specifically states 6 months or longer. We'll see.

Hey everybody:)

I got today the checklist letter and i am so confused. We sent the package on the 26th of November. So on the checklist letter they ask for an originals of my birth n marriage certificates. But that is what we sent them, translated, legalised and notarised with all stamps, and it was rejected. Has anybody had this situation?I don't know from what other government agencies can i get those documents that they would not rejecy them. Has anyone also been in the USA before marriage with J1 visa? Also they request some form/statement about that past visas. Has anybody done the statement to them? How does ir have to look like?Thank you for any info in advance

This is great! Guess we can go ahead and add a few more Filipina-Americans to the population totals! :)

Ours is Dec. 9, 6:30am, but we'll try to change to the week of the 21st or the week of the 28th so that I can attend.
