I called NVC and the operator said she had good news for me!

December 15, 2009!

I called my hubby and he's so excited! Then I went to the bosses and told them I needed to take three weeks off. No biggie! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm just combining my Xmas trip with my hubby's interview-I have to take an extra week off, but hey, that's what annual leave's for!

:dancing::dance::dance:

Congratulations!!!

We dont get annual leave. If he get;s Dec I wont be able to go. I suppose we will just have to see. We can still login so we arent done yet. AVR says it could take 6-8 weeks!

NVC is FINALLY reviewing our documents. I'm hoping for no RFE's and a quick approval. >]

Wohooo...no RFE, case completed confirmed by OP and AVR got updated as well...Now fingers crossed for December interview, long shot but still a possibility...

:dance::dance::dance: i'm so happy today... got my interview date on DECEMBER 08, 2009... :dance::dance:

:dancing::dance::dance:

Quick question. Did they give you a choice of dates or just tell you which one you must come?

They gave it to us. I'd rather have it the week after, but I'm not switching it or bitching about it!!!!

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

I was just wondering as the closer it gets to holidays with no date assigned the less chance there is of seeing David.

I called NVC today and got a "information missing or incomplete" message, GAH!!! So I called again and talked to a rep and he said the documents I sent (Affidavit of Support) are all good and that the RFE was just asking for me to take action on the next steps, since the IV bill hasn't been paid yet. WHew!

My wife got an email from NVC that they have received her DS-3032 Choice of Agent email and that the bill will be sent to the agent (me :P)...I haven't received any email yet, but the Online Payment page clearly states "NOT PAID" on the IV bill, so I just went ahead and paid! It should be ok, right? I mean, last week it was marked as "NOT INVOICED" and there was no way the system would allow it to be paid since you can't click on the check mark next to the fee.

For those that did signature confirmation, who signed for your DS-230 packet? I have heard most of you got a real person. I checked today and mine was just signed by an NVC stamp.
