Durdin, you as the petitioner will have to file I864 regardless of income.

Your parents (whoever is the higher income) will file a I864A. I'm not sure about your other parent.

Not entirely correct... If the parents do not live with the petitioner, then they file and 864 as well as the petitioner will fill out the 864... If the co-sponsor is married, then the spouse needs to file an 864A which accompanies the 864 filled out by the co sponsor... But correct that the US petitioner NEEDs to fill out an 864 regardless of income...

Thanks for your response..

Here is the situation I have my last three years tax returns, W2's, co sponser, but the problem is I recently started a new job which we get paid bi weekly so go figure I am in my first week! by the time I am ready to send in my I 864 packet which is soon is the one paystub enough or do I have to wait until I get three? Remember Bi Weekly, also does my co sponser have to provide employment letter.

Yeah, I know! I keep wondering if/what we did wrong. They don't like the translation of his military record? What??? I hate this hanging part. It's putting me in a funk! I'm flying off on Sat to go to Alaska for work, so won't even be around for a week to fix a stupid RFE if I got one. Everyone who did their 230s around our dates already got a log-inf failure...that's why I think something's wrong. Well, I'm glad at least we're going thru this hell together...sorry, that's selfish of me !!!!

No more waiting around for me. On Friday I'm booking a trip to see my hubby if nothing happens between now and then! (I've only checked the website a couple of times today-too depressing!).

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

Have a safe and fun trip...if I had the money or FF miles I'd be heading to Egypt even for just a week!!! Heck, I would go just for a long weekend if it didn't cost so dang much

I was tossing and turning around and without a good sleep last night. So, I got up at 4:30AM (Philippine Time), went to my computer but my login to the NVC site failed with this message:

“Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please click on the Contact the NVC hyperlink if you believe that you have received this message in error.”

Will I be sad or will I be happy with this login failure? :crying::star:

If they were gonna send you an rfe they would have done it by now. I bet by the time you get back from Alaska your case will be complete. By early next year at the latest your Finnman will have his visa and you will live happily ever after. Do you realise how lucky you are to have trips to Alaska paid by your employer? Me and Diane would kill for that! Does the FBI have any vacancies for tall good looking sexy scottish drunks?

Since you are using a co-sponsor and not sponsoring on your income, then you can send in the one paystub and if you can get a letter of employment for your new position (how much you make etc..) that would suffice. Are you sending in paystubs for the co-sponsor? If not, then you will definetly need a letter of employment for them, or send in 6 months of their paystubs...

Scot, you are so funny! I'm not a feeb!!!!!!

Yes, I'm one of my rare moments of getting in a funk over this. I'm up to my eyeballs in work too, so that's a bit stressful. Maybe it's just the combination of it all!!! I'll be better tomorrow, when I have a day off!!!!

I'm just letting my mind wander too much over this...like what did I do wrong with the 230???? I know-it's silly.

And yes, I'm very grateful to be able to go to Alaska. I love it up there! I've been covering Alaska for about six years now. Last year (fiscal year) I think I only went once, but this year this is my 2nd trip in two months!!!! I've done a lot of fun stuff up there too. I'm flying up this weekend and going horseback riding at my friend's house late Saturday in the snow!!!!! Then it's back to work Sunday morning though...blech. Actually, it'll be very exciting!!!! Plus it's snowing-yay!

Okay back to work now...
