Don't worry about it. I'm sure your husband will do fine on his own in the interview.

Hey guys, for the AOS package: the tax stuff, does it have to be the originals? Or photocopies with signatures in blue in enough?

It specifically states that you've to send photocopies in the instructions.

A photocopy or an Internal Revenue Service-issued transcript of a photocopy or an Internal Revenue Service-issued transcript of your complete Federal income tax return for your most recent tax year, or an explanation if it is not submitted. Your W-2s and/or 1099 forms may also be required, see the I-864 instructions for details.

You may also, at your option, submit a photocopy or an Internal Revenue Service-issued transcript of your complete Federal income tax returns for your second and third most recent tax years if you believe these additional tax returns may help you establish the ability to maintain your household income at the governing threshold set forth in Form I-864P, Poverty Guidelines.

Is everyone planning to attend the interview with thier spouse? As much as I would love to see London with David, I am not sure we can afford for both of us to make the journey. I am concerned that it will not go as smoothly if we are not both there and of course I want to be there for moral support. So I am curious to hear how everyone else is handling it as we are getting closer to the end of this process.

I will be there but I can only wait in the waiting room according to the Bucharest Embassy.

I can't wait for them to ask her, "When was the last time you saw your husband?" And she replies with, "5 minutes ago. He's right outside."

I'm going to my hubby's interview-it'll be in Italy and I've never been there (besides the Rome airport!). But since we're getting closer to Xmas, we're a bit anxious. We're supposed to go to Finland for Xmas and can't book the tickets until we hear about the interview. This is crazy!!! I can't imagine taking two trips to Europe in a month...but hopefully my ticket to Italy will be FF miles!

Maybe after David sees that I am not the only one who feels they should be there he might decide it is worth it. Because we try and see each other fairly frequently we have burned through all of our savings and all of my credit just being together. I am a terrified flier and every time one of us is alone on a plane I worry that we may never see each other again. It's like we are tempting fate. I feel slightly better when we fly together but I still hate it. I want to be there but if it will make no difference at all on the outcome, cause me to be unable to pay my bills (like the mortgage) and he cannot come back with me because he has to sell the house, then I am just not sure if I should still bother. This is tearing me up inside. I love my husband and want to be there for him but financially it makes no sense. I just dont know what to do.

David's Girl-it actually seems like the majority of VJers aren't there at the interview. You definitely want to be able to be able to support your Scot financially when he gets here-I've spent a ton of money on trips too (lLucky I travel with work and have quite a few frequent flyer miles racked up, so my trip will probably be free). Since he's not from a high risk country, you're fine. Don't beat yourself up by not attending. He'll be fine doing the interview by himself-I know he's a smart guy just from his posts! There won't be a problem at all by you not being there. He knows you love him desperately-right Mr. Scot???!!!!

If you're talking about the IRS transcripts, send what they sent you! I guess I don't really understand what tax stuff would be "original." I just sent the transcripts and six months of pay stubs printed off the computer (I did the EZ form or whatever it's called).

You sooo talk Greek to me...

Of course you meant: "You sooo talk GEEK to me"

Mark :)

Oops typo!!!!

Christeen (if you see this!)-how long was your hubby's interview scheduled for Naples (the original date) after your case was completed? I seem to remember that you had to wait when you changed the interview date because it took awhile for your case to get to the Naples embassy. I'm still hoping for a case complete next week and maybe even an interview date, but I know that could be far-fetched...

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

Does everyone like my new flag? It took me this long to figure out how to put a pic there!

I might change it to an American flag one day! :)

We have nothing to do at the moment. The DS-230 arrived at the NVC yesterday. My medical is scheduled for the 17th. I've booked flights to big scary London so all we can do is wait so I can only amuse myself by writing silly posts on here. I wonder how many emoticons I can fit on one post! :innocent::whistle::thumbs::devil::unsure::crying::blush::angry::wacko::star::dance::blink::bonk::help::hehe::rofl::ot2::wow::lol::yes:

Aw it wouldn't let me do all of them! That would have looked cool!

:lol: It's funny that this is the topic of the day!! My husband just today asked me if I could fly over for the interview!! I told him with Christmas around the corner and it's the busiest time of the year at the hospital (snowbirds keeps us busy..), I would never beable to get the time off!! That and of course the price of a plane ticket right about now!!! I wish I could be there for him, and I am sure that it would help the interview...if it was in the spring or summer it would be a completely different thing!!!
