Hey everyone! Just peeking in to try to catch up before school starts on Monday. I hope everyone's doing well, it looks like there've been some more approvals in the last week, which is AWESOME  Ahmed's been here for a week now, and it has been... interesting.:) I'm beginning to understand the whole first-year rollercoaster thing, but we're still at the fun part of the rollercoaster before all the sick-to-your-stomach feelings kick in, so it's all good :P

Thanks Nawal :)

Have any of you had any luck finding someone to notarize arabic documents in the US? We need to set up a power of attorney, but the consulate requires the forms to be in arabic (or arabic and english) and I am having a HARD time finding any place in Oregon. As far as I understand, the notary is only notarizing the signature, not the document, so I'm not sure why they have to know what the document says. But that's beside the point.

Good Morning.

I'm thinking about painting my living room and kitchen but kind of scared if i mess it up. The last time i painted was the basement hallway and I used a roller and the dang thing fell off and went rolling down the stairs and left nice marks on the stairs. Good thing my basement wasn't finished then cuz i would have been real steamed if i stained the carpeting on the stairs. If i decide to tackle this project, what's better to use the roller or just a brush? Any tips??

there is probably a 1-800 listing in the phone book where you fax them a copy of your document and they give you a quote on how much it will cost to translate. im sure since u fax it you dont have to be in oregon to have it translated.

Amy, what exactly is the Power of Attorney for? There are restricted POA's and ones where the appointed person can make almost all outlined decisions/signatures etc. My best advice would probably be to find an arabic or arabic speaking lawyer, who can file the POA and notarize it as well.

Well im off work this weekend, and poor Sof is working overtime all weekend. That means im stuck with the Beastmaster. Not sure what I wanna do this morning. Well I take that back, i KNOW I wanna go shopping to the Carters outlet but Sof has been cracking down on me bc Zaids wardrobe is getting out of hand. I know I probably shouldnt shop, but I am a women, lol, and just cant help myself :)

Good morning and happy Saturday!! Is to be in the 100's....when will

these temps ever end!

Wael got an invitation for the Honors English program!! He's walkin' on

sunshine!!!

Mornin' Charles, Amy, Sinad, Annie, Maureen, Tammy, Donna and Jackie!!

Annie, you guys are night owls!!! Wish I could stay up late.

Amy, happy your hubby is likin' America!! Agreed...NO Taco Bell!

Maureen, your posts crack me up
. My suggestion for the painting is

to give it to someone else! No way would I attempt painting, or cutting

my own hair....it would be a disaster movie

Donna, keep meaning to ask you sweetie, how are you doing?

Tammy, happy to hear you and Adam are enjoying your new area! Sure makes

a difference when our stress levels lower.

Sinad, send the storms here!! I LOVE them...

Charles, when do you go home?

Hope everyone has a beautiful and peaceful day. Take care and stay safe.
