I-130

I sent the package I-130 on sept. 17, 2009. I still have not received the NOA1. I read a lot of I-130 timelines and they usually get it in a couple of days. My question is that when they receive the package, do they cash the money order right away? I called the money order company and they show that they still have not cash the money order.

They should definitely have your package especially if you sent it express mail like most people. It's a good chance that if the money order has not been deposited, it will be by Monday 9/28. Although it doesn't matter, I personally used a post office money order. It's been just over a week so you should be receiving the NOA in the coming week. Congratulations and welcome to the game.

Ours was cashed after 1 week. Are you able to confirm delivery of your package even though it was sent through regular mail? That might help.
