The funny part is that yesterday I was looking through the spreadsheet (thanks Greg) and realized that even though we hadnt got EAD or AP approval- nobody who got their GC had approval dates before ours so I felt a little less despondent. SO YEAH!!!! So yes a christmas present but even more so a Birthday present for me!!!! My birthday is Friday and my husbands is in January and I was hoping he would get his GC in time so that I could make plans to take him to Toronto for his brthday- NOW I CAN!!!! Not entirely AOS related, but definitely immigration related, so I thought I'd share it with you anyways...

I PASSED MY ROAD TEST!

I got a US driver's license!!

Woo-00! Woo-00!

I did just about as bad as it's possible to do and still pass, literally by the skin of my teeth,

Didn't help that we've had 4 inches of snow in the 4 days since I scheduled this test.

...Leaving no doubt whatsoever in my mind that it's purely by the grace and mercy of God that I passed.

"The prayers of a righteous man avail much!"

He is good! Thanks be to God!

Woo-00! Woo-00!

[This was much harder than any part of the I-129F, K-1, or AOS processes (with the possible exception of having to fly 1500 miles for my visa interview)]

Now here's hoping GC shows today. Welcome notice was yesterday.

Congratulations Inky and BabylonFari on your AOS approvals!!:dance::dance:

Xaenyth, Anya n Charles, Jenn and Nick, simbafuzz: how did you let Inky and BabylonFari slip in line ahead of you? You guys should get your approvals by the end of the week.

Congrats HeatDeath on your DL. I can't even imagine driving in the snow.

My wife has her driving portion of the test on Monday. Then she can convert her "permit" to a full DL. Sunny and warm here, 81 right now. So road conditions are ideal.
