Today in the morning, I received the email from USCIS system regarding my EAD application. It's the Request for additional evidence. I just replied the RFE on AOS last week. Anybody has similar situation here? any idea what that can be? Does that mean somebody is looking at my case and they only need this particular evidence to approve my case?

Thanks and I'm more patient than before when the first RFE came..

Hi mhaze. Sure, join in the fun...never too late! I'll add you to our October AOS Filers spreadsheet (click link below).

Just need to know a couple more things:

- did you file the I-693 with your AOS package?

- what is your local ASC office (where you had the bio)?

Good luck on the rest of the process.

Greg

No touches in 15 days ( not counting sundays - 18with ) :clock:

Im kind of curious as to what they are doing if not working on cases? does the case actually sit there or is there some kind of " processing " or checks that it is going through and thats why they wait so long to do anything or they wait for results to come in to add to the files? as for that I will be calling in 2 weeks to see why my case has sat for 30 days with nothing done, hopefully they will put in a service request for me. Will have to see!

Yesterday I received my NOA letter for my AOS Initial Interview. It was dated for January 05, 2010. I guess I better start gathering all documents needed for the interview before I get pre-occupied with other things....like Christmas and New Years celebration/vacation with my honey. :star:

I also wanted to mention that I haven`t had a touch on my applications since 10/26/2009. If you don`t see your case online or if you haven`t gotten any updates for a while, I woudn`t worry too much about it. For instance, My I-485 is still on ACCEPTANCE and I already received a letter for my Initial Interview.

Thanks for your response- honestly I am going a little crazy but our I-129F is the perfect example of the websites innefficiency as it is still on "pending". I'm pretty sure I will be calling next week though and causing as muchas a stir as I can!

Greg,

We received the following email this morning for our EAD:

On November 23, 2009, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you.

In other news, we also found out were are expecting a baby

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!

*December 8, 2009 GC APPROVED!!!!

*September 6, 2011 TAFARI WILSON BORN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*November 2, 2011 I-751 application mailed to VSC

*November 3, 2011 Receipt date for NOA1

I don't know if AOS's are any more complex (I suspect maybe a little, but not much) but there's an interview with a former USCIS adjudicator somewhere in the FAQs that says, basically, at least for I-129F petitions, that that is exactly what happens: they get received, packed into a special type of file folder, barcoded, and then they sit in a box for months until an adjudicator gets to it, pulls it off the shelf, spends 45 minutes going through it, and approves it.
