10 days no movement or fondling of my case. Slightly down by this ! not sure why as my husband is military so name checks back ground stuff should not take that long to do..

I wouldn't worry, there are many others waiting on bio letters/touches. I think the USCIS is pretty backed up ATM Our I-485 hasn't been touched since the end of October...

Hi RebeccaAndPhil, You need to wait...I received my Bio letter exactly a month from the date my forms were received. So take your time and dont worry too much.

Hi RebeccaAndPhil, You need to wait...I received my Bio letter exactly a month from the date my forms were received. So take your time and dont worry too much.

So I checked my status online and on the "Last Update" it says 11/16/2009.. -- that means mine was "touched" right? BUT how come my status is still on "Initial Review" and it says this ...

"On October 21, 2009, we received this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or contact our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283."

Is it normal that my application has been touched after my biometric appointment but my status is still on "Initial Review?"

Basically what I'm trying to say is --- Bio Done, 2 Touched, but why is it still on initial review?

My I-485 has been touched since my biometrics, but is still on initial review. It's normal. A touch just means an adjudicator pulled it off the shelf, swiped the barcode on the folder, did some stuff, then checked it back into the system. Kinda like a library book There's lots of stuff they can do that generates a touch but doesn't necessarily move the indicator on the website along. Maybe they had to look at a couple of pieces of info in one of your forms to initiate a background check of some kind. Or something like that. it's pretty normal, I think. Just have patience and try not to worry about it too much.

My I-485 has been touched since my biometrics, but is still on initial review. It's normal. Congrats!! That is very exciting!! We have about the same timeframe, but I have yet to get e-mail notification or no touches on my online cases.... Well, patience is the name of the game here Overall though it's good to see us October filers are moving along smoothly.

Yep 3 of my hubby's forms are in initial review & the I-485 is still in acceptance lol

Hi km24, did they start a service request? Or did they said to call back in a month to put in a service request (which is really crazy)? If they took the request, I think one month is their standard answer. Don't worry. Hopefully, you'll get it within a week or so.

I already made a service request for the bio appointment and they gave me a confirmation number. Told me to wait for a month for the appointment and if still I haven't received it then i have to call again. wish me luck!

Hi Km24, You will receive your Bio letter before 11/26...These people are working hard and they wont forget about you.. I always pray to God about it...You can try the same thing...
