On October 21, 2009, we transferred this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action.

@Djohn : I believe your NOA will be in your mailbox by tomorrow. Your timeline is pretty cloes to mine. My packet reached USCIS on 13th, NOA was dated 20th and delivered to me by 23rd. So dont worry :star:

Nikki and Brian

Hi Nikki and Brian, your biometrics appt is scheduled with your local ACS. I don't know how the scheduling is done, but I wonder if the local ACS is involved in the scheduling process. Maybe those located in larger cities are able to schedule more quickly. Our ACS is in Honolulu and, judging from VisaJourney activity, does not process as many I-485s as other cities. What is your local ACS?

Thanks! I'll try not to worry about it and just patiently wait. I'll keep you updated! thanks again --- :D

This week should bring all of us good news. I hope you get your NOAs early this week Djohn.

I hate to say it but just because someone is transferd does NOT mean they will have absolutly no interview. CSC can kick back the case to the service center and request that the person does an interview. It is all up to them and what they feel needs to be interviewed or not.

Inky, I agree with you, there is a chance the transfers gets moved back to local for interviewed!! This is what the online case status says, "During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation."

Just fingers crossed, thats all! :)

Hi Inky, welcome to the group! I've added you to the spreadsheet. Your case is moving right along.

Did you send in the I-693 with your package?

Greg

Hi Greg

I was just wondering if you could please pop over to the "Adjustment of Status from Work, Student, & Tourist Visas" and include the rest of the October filers to your spreadsheet? I noticed you already have some of us in your spreadsheet, so there will only be a few more to add including myself.

Will be greatly appreciated

Hello all,

I wish that I could be on more often to share with you, but with 2 young children (2 and 1), it's not always easy...I just wanted to share that I got my NOA1s in the mail today! I was a bit worried because I wrote my money orders wrong (wrote USCIS instead of US department of homeland security). i was able to confirm with western union that they were cashed, but still I felt I needed my NOA1s to feel more at ease.

I'm glad to see people getting transferred to CSC. I hope it will be our faith, but if we have to go to an interview, so be it!

To Greg, thank you for the spreadsheet! It's always great to try and find patterns. Just to add to my info, I did NOT send the I693.

I'll try to stay in touch more...Happy continuation everyone!

Hi Mayjs,

Do you still have your old passport with your Visa and I-94? I think it was a good idea to get your passport renewed. Some people have had problems in the process with a passport that was about to expire.
