Looked at back of cancelled check, but no case number © - Shenan, did USCIS send just a check back for you? Without any papers? Mine was attached to Notice of Action with a notice type: Rejection Notice. It looked like usual NOA with the reciept(case) number.

I can see a copy of the cancelled check. There is a number on it that starts with MSC, but it does not appear accurate. Not found online or on the telephone when I called the 800 number.

Hi there, I would like to join to Oct group. I have got NOA which notice date Oct 9th, but no biometics letter yet... How long does it take to get biometics after NOA?? Should I call to USCIS?? It seems most people getting soon after NOA... Thank you very much

It is accurate. The system is not up to date and reports INCORRECTLY that the case number does not exist. It does exist and the MSC number is your case/application number. Good luck,

I called the 800 number this morning and they have no record of a Biometric Appointment. The mail today came with a letter setting the appointment for 04 Nov. The On-line system reports our MSC case numbers do not exist. During the call I was told that their "public access" detabase was not working correctly. It looks like something else is screwed up as well.

BTW, are the biometrics appointment letters sent out by your local office, or from Chicago (if you can tell)?

Our case is on the on-line system (AOS, AP, EAD), just no touches (other than me about a thousand times a day :-) )

I checked the envelope and the Biometrics letter was sent from zip code 64063. The NOA one was send from Lee's Summit which is the same zipcode. The first letter took 6 days and the second one took 2 days. Both were send first class mail. Makes no sense, but that is what I have here.

Hi Nikki, welcome to our group!! Most people are getting their biometrics appointment letter within a week of receiving their NOA. Some, taking longer. You can call USCIS, but if you read back a few posts, their information is sometimes not up to date. Doesn't hurt to call though.

I've added you to your spreadsheet where we are tracking everyones progress. Check it out and you'll see how everyone is progressing. The link is below in my signature block.

BTW, let me know if you submitted the I-693 along with your AOS package and I'll update the sheet.

Hey guys, I called the 800 number today and obtained information on my biometrics appointment before actually receiving the letter!! The lady told me it will be mailed out in the next couple of days. The appointment was set for NOV 3rd. I updated my signature so you guys can check out my timeline.

Haha that is sooo true. In a couple months If everything goes well many people will indeed receive their "bundle of joy"

The weird part is that the number starts with MSC and then 10 numbers. The first five numbers are exactly the same as the last five numbers. Example: MSC1234512345

For those who are worried of not receiving their Bio Letter on time.. I got this from the USCIS website..

The timing of your appointment is determined by the number of applicants ahead of you that also need a biometric appointment. We try to schedule biometric appointments as quickly as possible and in most cases you will receive your appointment notice within 30 days of submitting your application.

The repeating is weird but the length is right - 13 including MSC.
