I wouldn't worry about it, just explain what happened to the IO, mine didn't even ask to see the EAD. When I would call USCIS it would always tell me I am missing a digit so I instead began to choose the option where it says I don't know or don't have my case number and then get transfered to a person and give them the case number.

Thanks Monica,at least if i will be ask by the IO, i will say i did tried follow up my EAD status other than that i shouldnt worry..

+++++

Thanks to you too Rebecca for the good wish on my coming interview...

Monica, I think you should have your brother, if he is the applicant, sign as the applicant in part 4. I think part 5 is used by lawyers when they prepare the form for their client.

Thanks for clearing that up Mike. So the only thing I need to watch out for is 3 months prior to the expiry date...? Yes, this is my first time married and my first green card. I'm looking forward to not dealing with paperwork for a while. XX

Yes make a note of the 90-day window before it will expire and be sure to file form I-751 to remove conditions before then. It's very important to have the paperwork in before the conditional GC expires!! That's why I made a countdown in my siggy :thumbs:

Thanks Gregg,im ready for the interview but what annoying is my EAD never arrived though i recieved two notification in the mail last December. I tried to call the USCIS but i couldnt follow up my case cuz it always says i entered a lacking digit. Its been over a month for that EAD grrrr.....I hope its not a big deal if i dont have EAD to show to the IO on thursday. Cant wait this things over and oh its pouring rain outta here in honolulu...

BTW Genny, at the interview we were not asked for the EAD card or the AP. Even if they do, just say you didn't receive it. Should not be a problem.

Another VJ member had their interview in Honolulu on 1/22 and was approved. Their experience was similar to ours.

Good luck. Let us know how it goes.

Hi Greg..

I am glad that it didnt asked to me,neither of the two documents so im relieved. The interview went very smoothly.

I think the interview is pretty the same, they have that photocopy of set of questions which the IO asked and it was also the same question been asked to my friend last year of October. My interviewer is an Indian.

Also they just verified personal information based on what we have submitted.

He asked for joint accounts. We have no bank account though, i said we will start saving probably when i started working. We only have car insurance and health insurance. He asked for my profession,on what kind of engineering field i belong and asked if i was working here and i answered chemical engineering but not working yet because i am pregnant and i am waiting to be legal so that i can have the authorization to work. When i said about my profession,he looked again on my files to check as it is...

Then after that i signed on for I-751 (?), its for the removing condition,he said that i will be responsible for that because no mail will come to remind me for the removing condition.

The IO didnt asked for the pictures too which i am glad cuz i only have few pictures with me.

When we are done,we saw alot of people outside waiting for their interview. It must have been a toxic day for them,for the immigration...

Thanks Greg

+++++

Thanks everyone for patiently waiting for us to get our interview done..I will probably see the same face again or i will be expecting you guys on another new thread for removing conditions IF we will not be very busy then...

God bless you all and Mahalo

How did your interview go? :star:

RebeccaAndPhil,

It went well, thanks for asking. I guess I came out a little frustrated because there was no "congratulations, you're approved" he just said he needed to run it by his supervisor...etc. I knew that was a possibility after reading these forums, but I was hoping we would get a supervisor. :blush: Oh well, I guess it's more waiting for us.

The problem is that my wife and I are scheduled to leave the country in 12 days for my brother's wedding, so i asked the IO about this and he said it shouldn't be a problem. I had to tell him (after reading these forums of course) that I could make an infopass appointment the week of our travel and bring in my welcome letter and itinerary so that they can stamp it - he said "Yeah i guess that will work." He just didn't seem to clued up on evertything...grrrr.

Anyway, that was a long-winded answer to your question. I *think* it went well, now just more waiting.

Cheers,

Rowan

Congratulations Genny on your approval.

DallasJeeper, too bad the IO couldn't approve you on the spot, but you'll probably get approved within a day or two. Also, too bad you have to make another appointment just to get the I-551 stamp. Like you say, a little more waiting.

Congrats abhijith on receiving the GC in the mail.

Hi everybody,

I was browsing all the papers that i have for the interview and i just notice a mistake in the biometrics. (i put a wrong birthday in the space where they ask about my wife).

I never get a RFE or an email regading that. the rest of the papers have the right info.

how likely is that this delay the GC?

the interview is in 2 weeks.
