Thanks Mhaze, regarding your question it is important to have it changed. Whenever your free head to the SS building and have it changed as the SSC/N is also used as a form of ID.

KateMunter, hudons, GC Runner, Mamaronga and Rebecca&Phil,

Best of luck with your upcoming IV's.

Mamaronga,

Important documents you sent as a photocopy are the ones they would like to see e.g birth certificate, passport, DL. As well as if you have new documents you would like to submit.

Katemunter: congrats on your little girl! yours is a unique case, I'm not sure what to do but I would call USCIS and ask them the "official policy" for a case like that...

Also, yes I know we'll bring our own passports and birth certificate originals...but our co-sponsor is my father for the Affidavit of support, Must I bring my Father's original passport? I'd feel bad asking him such a favor---and would rather not!

Do folks know if we need a "certified" or "professional" interpreter or would a bi-lingual friend work to help interprete for my husband? what have folks who recently had interviews done?

Luck to all who have interviews tomorrow!!

Congratulations to all the successful interviews!!:dance: &

Good luck to all those with interviews upcoming!! Not that you need it! You will be just fine!!

It is important to go to the SSN office to get the restriction removed from your card. If you are offered a job and the card still says restricted then they need to see an immigration document proving that you are able to work. If you have the unrestricted card all you need to show is your DL and SSN card, no need to show your PR card.

Hi Kate, good luck on your interview tomorrow. I don't know about filing a new sponsor affidavit in your case, but if needed you will find out in the interview. I kinda doubt it. The one you filed was accurate when you filed it.

Let us know how it goes.

Guys! Our interview was approved!!!

We came inside the building ONE hour earlier. I thought we wont be allowed to get in so early. But my hubby insisted. (Actually, I wanted to have breakfast, but was so nervous that just followed my husband)) We took our two month old daughter too. She was cute and smily in good mood)) I think she hadnt idea where we were going)) Or had a plan in her head to enchant an officer)) Our smart head))

So, we checked-in (our interviewletter was scanned and we were given a pager). When the pager began to vibrate we walked through the door #2. Our officer met us and assisted to her office. Her name was Lee, was pretty nice. We were sworn in ( We just said yes with raised right hands )

My case was difficult (because I came under J-1 visa, than I tried to change for F-1 but was refused). Although I got married before refusal F-1 visa. I think because of this we we asked a lot of question:

Who was my sponsor during F-1 visa? (it wasnt my hysband). So, she asked my husband if he ever met him. They did.

How did we meet?(my husband was asked, but he made such a long beginning that the officer was getting bored..lol I interrupted him and explained in two words.

Then she asked if i met his Mom, relatives, friends. We had a bunch of pictures with them.

Then she asked to show our photo album. We did. She asked about a guy holding our baby( I answered right. It was my husband's friend).

Asked our SSNs, IDs, my passport (international), our original birth certificates.

Couple of questions from I-485 (mostly, Part 3) I asked that I applied for WIC and All Kids Insurance though. My husband was furloughed for 5 months and we couldnt use this insurance. We had to. She said it is ok. I said that now we have his insurance again(gave her a copy of it and kid's birth certificate.)

Between questions my husbands kept asking her about where we can have lunch, what that building was before it became an immigration building and all other #######...lol Was pretty funny.

Then she said golden words: I am going to approve your case. And she took my EAD, I-94 Arrival/departure record and said that my green cars will be in my mail during 30 days. She didn't stamp my passport. They will do it only if I need it under emergency situation. That was that))))

THANK YOU, MY FAVOURITE SUPPORTIVE TEAM!! Without you I am nothing!!!!! You gyus are awesome!!! Good luck to everybody! it is easier than you think! Even in my copmlicated case it wasnt a big deal.
