Hi October filers. Sorry I have been MIA but I have been having pc problems. I got the card production ordered e-mail yesterday for the EAD and the same thing today for the I-485. We havent heard anything about the AP but it doesnt matter we dont need it because the conditional green card is approved. We did not have an interview. We are so excited, good luck to those still waiting and Congratulations to those who have gotten good news.

Beth and I are frustrated. We are tracking all those who have filed a I-485 based on a K1 Visa in the September through the November group. At this point there is no person prior to our NOA date and beyond by 19 days after our NOA date, who either: (1) hasn’t been transferred to the CSC, or (2) didn’t get an RFE, or (4) doesn’t have an interview date or (4) a green card. All those before and beyond us by about 4 days, save one, has a green card or an interview date.

On top of that we still cannot see our case on the website.

The website says:

• Your case can not be found at this time in My Case Status. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283.

We called the number a couple of times but the response the second time was don’t bother calling back until it has been 4 months. We do not know if the paperwork is lost or if someone is working on it. The woman would not / could not tell us.

We do offer our most sincere congratulations to all you and wish you a great new year.

Mike, that really sucks that you have not received your interview letter yet. I hope you receive it soon. The information you receive via the 800 number is often useless, but keep trying. Sometimes they can tell you something useful.

Happy New Year to you and all the October filers.

Thank you. Following Greg's comments (thank you Greg!) we did call back. Each time the first person we talk to can not find our case either and then they pass us to a real case officer.

This officer was nicer than the last. She assured us that were had not missed any mailings. She said our application was still in process - but literally had no information about why. She made some silly comments about FBI checks after the fingerprints are done. We did the biometric on November 4th. She did not know why we can not see the case on line and has no way to deal with it - a separate office. All it looks like is that we are in her database. But that there has not been any activity since November 4th.

My money is on the likelihood that the case file is misfiled/lost. But we will have to wait another 45 days to find that out. That's the four month time frame.

That is so frustrating Mike, I would feel exactly the same if we were in your shoes! I'm so sorry you've had to wait so long :( I really hope they didn't lose your paperwork but I hope you made copies of everything before you sent it out, just in case. Here's hoping that 2010 brings much better news for you and your spouse!
