Hello Fellow October Filers! I just want to share the great news!

My Work Permit has been granted! (Is it?)

It says that they have ordered production of my card (Dec 11)- is that good as my petition for work permit granted? Please say yes! ;)

If it is, am i safe to look/accept jobs now?

one more thing, ive submitted my application together with the AOS and advanced parole, i was expecting that the advance parole and EAD will be approved on the same day?

I got another email from USCIS about my I765 --- this is my 3rd email about my EAD.

Can someone tell me what this means? I'm a little confused. It's not another "Card Production ordered"

Hi Djohn, that's the normal sequence on the EAD approval. Two card production emails followed by an approval email.

After you get your EAD card.. a week/2 weeks after you'll be receiving your IL! :) Good luck on job hunting!

I put yes since the next question was "three days after hire will you be able to provide documentation?" I figured I might get my EAD card next week( approved Dec. 11) and I will have it on time. What do you guys think?

if you are authorized then yes you put yes. Which is what you are. Hopefully it does come soon for you in the mail.

NEVER put on your resume that you are a green card holder, never show them your green card or anything untill you have the job! people have been refused jobs because they show green cards to early on in the job interview process. A lot of employers see a green card and think " oh god i have to sponcer this person to work here " which they DONT!

Our card and welcome letter both came today too. We got the email yesterday that the letter had been sent.

No luck for me. Its been over a month since my wife did her biometrics.

Last touched on 11/16.

Called USCIS. Told to wait till 90th day which is like Feb 12. :wacko:

At least EAD would have been good for Christmas

I feel the same!

I'm losing my patience.... My est approval dates have changed 3x all pushing the dates forward....

An EAD would have been nice for Xmas.... :crying:

Maybe at least I'll have approval by then.....

Wow. The interview letters and approvals start coming fast when they come. Looking at Greg's spreadsheet, it's like looking at a train coming down the tracks. Almost everybody in the first half of the month has their approval or interview date now.

Yes and the train stops with Beth and Me at the beginning of the second half of the month. :-( Here's hoping we will see an IL soon. I am certainly aware that Greg waited longer than we have so far for his IL. So since Greg didn't complain - we shall not either. Patience! That's the ticket!

BTW I put together a redacted and concatenated spread sheet with both September and October K1 (only) filers, leaving out the AP/EAD stuff. Of the 25 September K1 filers -10 are from the second haft of September. One one is waiting for a card from the first half of September, but of the ten in the second half five are still waiting for cards and of them 3 have an interview date, one had been transferred and is waiting and one did not get transferred and does not have an IL.

Those ten are in amazing juxtaposition to our first 16 (10 AOS / 4 IL / only 2 transferred and waiting).

Got my green card today, nothing like what i thought it would look like!

Dec 15th 2009.

Green card expires Dec 3rd 2011. oddly enough they orderd card production on the 8th but the date on the card for residence is since Dec 3rd 2009.

I hope so ! I am on H1B ... so I already have a job :) it is expiring in Jan though...so EAD will help me continue the job without too many probs ...

That's good to know. My hubby's waiting for his EAD too but we've gotten the AP & IL already lol We've gotten 2 emails about card production so far
