Djohn, why don't you just try it - don't think anything bad can happen? either they take you in or turn you back? just my take

For those who already received their Bio letter.. just wondering if you received any emails from the USCIS stating that they already sent your letter, or just any notification/updates on their website?

I received my bio letter but I haven't got any emails, updates or notifications from USCIS

km24 - I didn't get any notifications before my husband's bio letter or until after we had the bio appt. Our case numbers weren't even in the system and able to be checked until the day before the bio.

We got another touch today, and another spam email. This one says again about having been transferred to CSC. Weird stuff. They also like to send that sms msg when I'm sleeping. Suckers.

I havent received Bio letter yet but online update today and says my case was transfered to CSC.

What happen to next?? It means I dont have to go to Bio??

Congrats on the transfer to CSC. That's good news. You'll still have to do the bio. Sometimes the appointments come after the transfer. But you probably won't have to do an interview.

BTW, have you called the 800 number about your bio appt? Sometimes they can tell you if an appt has been scheduled.

What is the exact meaning of "Touch"? I'm not sure what that is, but i always see it on peoples timeline. Is that an email from USCIS?

& How will i know if my case is transferred? Do all cases gets transferred?

Djohn - touches are when they update your case on the website. Every time they do something with it they scan it and it shows up on the site as 'last updated'.

I don't think all cases get transferred, but I have no idea how they decide which ones do. We got snail mail notifying us we were transferred first. Then later we were able to finally see our case online and sign up for email updates.

Just need to know if you included the I-693 with your AOS package and what is your local ASC office (where you will have your biometrics taken).

Hi Djohn, a "touch" is when the "Last Updated" date in your online case status changes. The date supposedly gets updated each time someone works on (or touches) your case. A touch doesn't mean the status changes; just means someone at USCIS checked out your file to work on it. You don't get an email for a touch.

You should get an email and letter if/when your case is transferred. Not all cases get transferred.

Thanks Xaenyth for clearing it up for me. I signed up on USCIS so I'm able to receive emails or updates from them but I haven't gotten any.

Thanks for the reply guys! This thing is driving me crazy. I called the 1-800 number and the lady told me to wait until next week since the Notice Date on my NOA's is October 14, so I have to wait for a month before I'll report for any delay. Include me in your prayers guys. Hope I'll be receiving the letter before the 14th. Thanks!
