DHL Payment for Visa?????

Hey have a question. I was looking on the embassy page for Moscow for addtional documents to bring and it says "- DHL receipt to confirm you paid for visa delivery. The fee can be paid at one of the DHL offices. "

What does this mean?

When she has her interview they will keep her passport. A few days later they will send the passport with the visa attached inside, along with the "do not open" packet she will turn in at immigration. This will all be sent DHL which requires the prepaid label she will need to provide at the interview. The DHL offices near the embassy are very familiar with this and will help her out if there are any questions.

What does this mean?

One goes to the DHL office as noted and prepays and receives a prepaid mailer (with the payment receipt). They will give this empty prepaid mailer to the officer at the interview. Then the Embassy will insert all of the documents plus the passport with the K-1 visa in it and send it to them in the prepaid mailer.

I've heard about a week.

For us it was three days. Interview on a Friday and documents ready for pickup (held at DHL office in Moscow) on Tuesday... or was it Wednesday?? Anyway it was just a few days. Could be longer if DHL is delivering it.

now I remember, it was ready for pickup on Tuesday. DHL even called to us in Rostov.

How soon do they usually mail the passport and documents after successful interview?

My fiancee had the interview on Tuesday and she got all her papers back on Friday, the same week. But she did not have it delivered. She picked it up herself at the DHL office.

What I never asked my fiancee was how much she paid for it.
