“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Sorry about the AP. I know how stressful it can be. I also got the white slip after my interview last February 2009. The CO requested that we submit again the 3rd page of the I-129F petition. I submitted it to the Embassy after 3 days.

The next day, they called me and informed me that our I-134 and other financial documents were missing. I argued with him that I had already submitted the originals and told him that the photocopies I have with me are incomplete.

Anyway, I submitted my incomplete photocopies of the financial documents the same day. My fiance also made a call to the embassy within the hour that they called me. He told them that it is their responsibility to find the missing financial documents. He must have scared them because I got my visa after 3 working days.

Don't give up. Keep calling the embassy every 3-5 days. Know the reason why they put your husband on AP.

Who did you request to speak to when calling? My fiancee got the white slip today because they did not have my divorce decree because our entire package is missing somewhere after leaving the NVC (but we got the letter to schedule the interview?). It's there fault they lost the paperwork and she is very depressed. Of course she will send it through air21 today to be there Monday, but who's to say it won't sit on someone's desk for weeks? I won't to keep it moving as it wasn't our fault.

Sorry about the AP taj's.

But you see, even NVC says it will normally take 7 weeks for a certain step to reach the next step but after few days, you'll receive some news from them.

Let's just hope that the embassy will just like NVC. If you need to email the Embassy to follow up your case, just do so. :)

Best of luck!

Sorry about your AP. It is common in your SO country of Origin. It is like a slap in the face, but is is common and just part of the process. It is becomming more common in my Husban's country, because of fraudlant relationships. Yours because of terrorism.

You need to stay strong and be possitive. Your AP will be fast and smooth.

My husband talked with Grace and with the case worker in-charged of our documents. I am not sure if Grace is still working there. If not, you can ask for someone who is handling your case. I can just imagine what a mess it is in the Embassy with all the missing documents. The petitioner/beneficiary should be assertive in making calls to them.

Good luck.

Sorry to hear your situation. Like others have said, you have nothing to worry about... this is common in high fraud countries, Pakistan being one of them, unfortunately.

Rest at ease, and enjoy your birthday!

hello everyone, i just got back to work and i am still feeling so lousy. anyway they didn't give us any reason, didn't ask for any more documents. my husband was even willing to show more documents and give them all the stuff i asked him to bring. they didn't ask for the police clearance (pakistan police clearance) that we were instructed to bring again from our appointment letter. they didn't ask for my employment letter, my taxes, my pay stubs, my birth certificate...nothing. all they looked at were pictures of my husband and i and our son. and the pre screener just asked for some chat logs and call logs.

TO: TAHOMA: congrats to your wife on passing her nclex. i am a nurse myself, i passed last june and i am working now on a respiratory unit. new to work, over a month now...and loving it! thank you for your encouragement. i will get the number from my husband and ask them on monday right away!....

Taj - this sounds EXACTLY like my husbands first interview. Also given a white slip with no requests just stated need to process case more. The only BETTER thing for your husband is they took his passport while they did not take my husbands. The first few days of AP are the hardest, please believe me. Our AP was just 7 weeks, I pray yours will be shorter since they already have his passport. I believe (though cannot be certain) that your husband being a professional will help. My husband does not have beyond high school on record and his profession is hair stylist. I am sure in my heart your AP will be short and sweet - just as Betsy's was. Chin up girl, all will be well. Soon your sweet man will be in the US with you in your arms.

We didnt get a white slip, or any slip..is this something we should be concerned about...we were only told that we are in AP and they could not give us any more information than that....they were polite and courteous though and told us everything looked fine at the embassy level

i called the embassy in manila to find out exactly what is happening. they said it is just a standard procedure at the consuls to review my husbands case over. and that the maximum is 6 weeks. i hope this is true. she said that if they don't do anything by 6 weeks, no updates or if we dont hear from them...i should call back...the exact status is under review...

I know you are very dissapointed that you guys are in AR, but almost every paki applicant gets put in AP or AR. I guess it doesnt matter that he interviewed in the phillipines, he is still paki and they still put him in AP

Its not a denial, its another wait...hopefully a short one for you guys! Good luck and keep us posted.

So what if he's from Pakistan? What's their basis in putting someone's case on AP/AR by the way? The AP process makes me wonder. Are there particular nationalities or beneficiary's travel history that needs to be AP'd?

Don't know if they should be put on AP, but Unfortunatly for the many VJ'rs who are just trying to unite their families and loved ones, in the current conditions and mindset of the US govt, they do tend to put most middle east and nationals from muslim nations on AP as well as many in North Africa. Hight fraud countries in Asia and East Europe are also subject to the possibility of AP. It seems to be happening more and more given the curent political and world climate.
