WE ARE ON ADMINISTRATIVE REVIEW. MY HUSBAND GOT THE WHITE SLIP. I AM SO SAD AND BEEN CRYING ALL NIGHT. TODAY WAS MY BIRTHDAY AND EVEN THE CONSUL KNEW IT. THEY DIDNT EVEN LOOK AT MY HUSBANDS DOCUMENTS, ALL THOSE THINGS I ASKED HIM TO BRING. THEY JUST WANTED TO SEE PHOTOS OF US. EVEN THE POLICE CLEARANCE THAT WE WERE REQUIRED TO BRING AGAIN TO THE INTERVIEW (THE PAKISTAN POLICE CLEARANCE). HE SAID OUR DOCUMENTS WERE FINE AND THEY WERE COMPLETE.

HE SAID THAT THEY HAVE TO CHECK FURTHER SOME THINGS WHEN HE ASKED MY HUSBAND HOW OFTEN HE GOES BACK HOME TO PAKISTAN ( MY HUSBAND SAID EVERY YEAR FOR ABOUT TWO MONTHS DURING SUMMER VACATION WHEN I AM OFF SCHOOL TO VISIT MY PARENTS). I WISH I WAS THERE AT THE INTERVIEW. BECAUSE WHEN HE SAID ALL YOUR DOCUMENTS ARE FINE THEN I WOULD HAVE SAID THEN WHERE THE HELL IS OUR VISA?

THE ONLY THING THAT IS OPTIMISTIC IN OUR CASE IS THAT THEY KEPT MY HUSBANDS PASSPORT AND THAT THEY TOOK HIS NAME, ADDRESS, EMAIL AND PHONE NUMBER SO THAT THEY CAN CONTACT HIM WHEN THEY SEND THE VISA.

HOW LONG IS THIS AND WHAT SHALL I DO NOW?

(OUR STORY: MY HUSBAND IS FROM PAKISTAN AND BUT HE HAS BEEN LIVING IN THE PHILIPPINES FOR 6 YEARS NOW. HE IS A MEDICAL DOCTOR STUDYING FOR HIS BOARDS TO PRACTICE HERE IN THE UNITED STATES. WE HAVE A SON AND WE BOTH MET IN THE PHILIPPINES. HIS INTERVIEW WAS ON SEPT. 25, IN MANILA EMBASSY PHILIPPINES)

If they kept his visa , that is very good. Im so sorry, this process is a long, hard journey, we all dream of interview day, Im sorry it turned out this way. Its not over with Hon, he was not denied, it will be fine.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

yeah that was the last question...he had a feeling that time that something was wrong. the consul said your documents are fine but we need to do further processing. they just kept his passport, they didn't even ask if my husband was going to travel in the near future...i mean he isnt but the consul could have asked what his flying plans are. but thats the only thing that i am optimistic about as i said earlier. i think they asked unnecessary questions and if i was there i would have made that consul piss in his pants...sorry im just so angry and sad...this is the saddest birthday ever...

Sorry about the AP. I know how stressful it can be. I also got the white slip after my interview last February 2009. The CO requested that we submit again the 3rd page of the I-129F petition. I submitted it to the Embassy after 3 days.

The next day, they called me and informed me that our I-134 and other financial documents were missing. I argued with him that I had already submitted the originals and told him that the photocopies I have with me are incomplete.

Anyway, I submitted my incomplete photocopies of the financial documents the same day. My fiance also made a call to the embassy within the hour that they called me. He told them that it is their responsibility to find the missing financial documents. He must have scared them because I got my visa after 3 working days.

Don't give up. Keep calling the embassy every 3-5 days. Know the reason why they put your husband on AP.

I know you are very dissapointed that you guys are in AR, but almost every paki applicant gets put in AP or AR. I guess it doesnt matter that he interviewed in the phillipines, he is still paki and they still put him in AP

Its not a denial, its another wait...hopefully a short one for you guys! Good luck and keep us posted.

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

first of all, happy birthday. secondly the consul could care less if it was your birthday and thirdly, most all men from that area of the world go into AP. its very common and all you can do is wait it out. i know its hard cuz u feel the last step to the process is the interview but then they sneak in that little thing called AP.

everything went good with my husbands interview (years ago) but he still had to wait on something in the united states side before they could issue the visa. im thinking it was probably some kind of extra security check or something.

ur almost there.

The fact that they took his passport is a good thing - they cant hold that for very long.

They probably just need to do some simple background checks and then they'll give it to him with the visa.

I would give it at most two weeks.. You've gotten this far, keep it together..

You're in a better position than I am where I honestly believe I'm in AP now and probably wont be able to see my wife in my home until next year. Too many people got approved after me to think that they will do anything with my application.

Could be bad timing as a terrorist immigrant was arrested in the US yesterday.

Please don't use capitals.

It's a GOOD sign they kept his passport. When my fiance was denied they took hers.

Did you get th reason?
