Hi, I need help. I don't know what else to do.

Yesterday September 24th I recived a notice that states "The evidence submitted with the form is insufficient"

I sent copy of our

-tax return documents 2007, 2008.

-drivers license

-Joint bank accounts

-bills on our names

-health insurance

-pictures

When my husband and I got married, he already owned the house. So, I'm not on the deed.

We don't have children.

They also said on the notice that I don't have to submitt documents I already submitted. So, basically I don't have more evidence to submitt, besides Affidavits from friends and family.

What I can do?

Thanks

I cant see a very important documennt on your list.

1. You are required to send the front AND back copies of your greencard, did you include the front and back copies of your greencard?

If you missed it then your application is incomplete. Hope this helps.

How many months worth of bills and bank account statements did you include. Perhaps you can send a few more. How about credit cards? Life insurance? Investment accounts? Have each of you designated the other as beneficiary for life insurance and/or investment accounts, you can send those. How about gym and movie rental memberships, you can also send copies of those. Letters that were mailed to the two of you and your address....you can copy the envelopes. Magazine subscriptions in both your names?

You may need to send affidavits from people that know you as a couple. The affidavits are useful when you are lacking other evidence.

Check this other topic. It is fairly recent and a lot of people left comments and ideas for getting evidences to support the case.

Remember, you can always show bills and other statements that come in both your names separately. It will be able to prove you both live at the same address.

I know this topic is long, but I would suggest reading the messages:

Hi Agnieska heres what I sent last June 19, 2009 and I got the approval last Sept 8, I received my 10 yrs GC unfornately I have to send it back w/ the Form I-90 because of USCIS adminitrative error( my GC is in maiden name my 1st green card is in my married name). if you have something like these you will be fine! They said affidavit from friends is not required but if you have no enough evidence it helps!

Good Luck!

It takes just a day or two for your husband to have the deed to the house in your joint names. Auto registration should be changed to joint, and that can be done while you wait. Anything that shows joint ownership of assets beyond a bank account is convincing.

Yep, you definitely need to try and get a joint deed. This is very important, as well as joint home and car insurance. You can also put each other's names on your car titles, therefor having joint ownership.

When I went for my AOS interview, they were very happy to see silly simple things... such as our gym memberships, grocery store point cards, and shared netflix account! I also showed bills that were just in my name, but where my husband was an authorised user, such as ATT (he gets his phone from work, so the account is just me).

Dont be afraid of sending too much, especially if they have asked for more... send up to 5 months worth of bills, if possible, some dating far back over the last 2 years. Maybe it is worth opening another credit card together, just for the sake of evidence?
