Isn't it funny how long it seems? So on a side note.. My parents which are in their 60's now were from foriegn countries.. mother from Iraq.. and father from Scotland.. They were penpals.. and they met and had to be apart for 2 years before they could get their relationship going in Canada.. (not the US but.. anyways) .. But this was back when there was no internet .. post took sooooo long to get anywhere.. and phone calls were either not an option or really expensive.. Thinking about this makes it easier for me and realize other people had it alot harder then we do..

What a fantastic story!

Does put it in thought that we do have it a lot easier then 10-15-20 years ago...or longer at that!

At least Chris doesn't have ride a boat over and wind up with scurvy and much worse....:)

well everyone experiences things differently.

I got all excited at work this morning when I saw that our check was cashed.

I own a business with my dad and my uncles work for us..needless to say they did not share the same excitement that I had this morning...matter of fact I think I just got a nod...

So I had to post for someones excitement!! :)

Yeah here people get excited over very small things cause a step is a step .. its good to know some people can share in the excitement with us.. They will probably think you are nuts when you get your first NOA.. haha.

might just have to walk into my office...shut the door and jump up and down....

then walk back out calmly!

I've been on this forum for months now. Researched information...I knew the process through and through and of course the minute that I start having to put it all together and really think about it i forget everything and panic a bit! *laugh*

Congratulations!

Now i have a question, and i'm sure it's a pretty silly one, but, when you register to the site to check your case status, can both the petitioner and beneficiary check for updates? we havent registered yet, i just created a single email address for both my fiance and i, and we're planning to use it when registering so we both can receive the updates. So, do u think it's possible to do that? someone told me that it cant be done cuz it's two different IP addresses....

It can be done. I'm the beneficiary and I have set up the account after my fiance registered. We use two different e-mail accounts and we both get e-mail updates. We use different login names so we both can check the status online.
