Sorry, Ladies and Gentlemen, I just have to cheer up myself . . . so what better way than to provoke some merriment on the part of others.

Also, I am sad that the very funny card I sent two weeks ago hasn't made it to Cairo!!!! So I had to tell Ahmed about it so he could laugh anyway . . . . not much point to keep it a secret if it never shows up!!

October 27, Petition Shipped to Embassy

October 31, Embassy received petition

November 1, Embassy called to set up fingerprint appointment

November 4, Fingerprint appointment

November 23, Fingerprint check results came in - Thumbs up

November 30, Fiance picks up packet 3

December 1, Medical exam

December 5, Call embassy to set up interview date

December 5, Pick up medical results

December 28, embassy tells us they screwed up

02/23/09 - Apply for citizenship

06/15/09 - Citizenship interview

07/15/09 - Citizenship ceremony. Alhamdulilah, the US now has another american muslim!

Ok, so today's really the "birth" day! and I am having the best morning!!! I was awakened by the voice of my wonderful habibi. He sang "Happy Birthday" to me in Arabic, French, and English!!! :luv: and then..... I got to tell him about the gift I bought myself at midnite last nite - drumroll, please...... I bought a ticket to Morocco and I am going to be w/ my love for 3 weeks!!!! I really have no business being gone that long, but I've got to go and I've got to do it. So, in 6 weeks, I will be in the arms of the man I love so dearly and I will get to meet my beautiful stepdaughter!
