The fact is that The Left has a reputation for "cult of personality". Of course people do tend to be vocal when supporting their candidates or politics of their choosing, but I don't recall ever seeing the worship level I see with Obama. It is a fact that you are ignorant if you believe the bolded. What you are describing are dictatorships which ideologically lie on the extreme right of the spectrum. The only way that a dictator can exist is if the normal electoral cycles are disrupted (generally dictatorships exist where there is no electoral process at all). Whatever Obama is, he is not a dictator and the admiration people have for Obama is no different for that which has been shown to any of the USA previous presidents.

You fail to understand Madame, that from the point of view of the far Right, they are so clearly correct, so clearly the best and brightest, so clearly the only group capable of leadership in this great nation, that their defeat can only be explained by conspiracy theories, brain washing, and the gullibility of the American public who sadly they can't figure out how to fool anymore. I think you'll find all of these things can be explained with reference to "equal and opposite" things said by "the other side".

Its much the same as an elementary school kid getting pulled up by the teacher for fighting and saying "he started it" to excuse his behaviour.

You seem to have lost focus, this is not about what any private group or parent does to glorify Obama (or Bush).... this is about the PUBLIC schools and how teachers actually feel free to train kids in this way, certainly other teachers and administrators heard these acts of "adoration"... yet no one said anything and the teacher felt she had nothing to hide.

Its not unexpected that most of the libs in this thread are falling right into line supporting this. They talk of a "####### for tat" argument being elementary, but in the next breath they bring up churches or camps who "were doing the same thing" (which they were not). The bottom line is that it is a tax payer funded place, but then again liberalism is forced on kids in every state in every public school just about. They change a song that is special to this country, and special to Christians and replace the words with a praise to Obama. This is beyond ridiculous, and proves how out of touch the left is.

And the post mentioning that the right only believes they lost because of a conspiracy theory? The right never had a candidate in 2008, so i fail to see how we lost.

I don't see the problem with wanting more information on what happened here - it sure beats shaking your fist at a youtube video and using that as the be-all and end-all. I'm sure you would want to know whether this was a one-off on the part of a single teacher, or something curricular on the part of the school.

I happen to know that it isn't a national conspiracy. I do wonder how widespread it is. What disgusts me (and it would disgust me no matter who is president) is that they are doing it to impressionable kids who think anyone you say is awesome is just awesome.

Danno, this is not a conspiracy. If this teacher has used her position to influence her charges politically in any shape or form then disciplined they must be. It is not the place of a public servant to spread an ideological message, period.

That said however, there is no evidence that this is part of some wider movement on the left to subvert the political process. All you currently have is one idiotic teacher who thinks the sun shines out of Obama's ####### and wants to share this misguided message. Stupid is as stupid does.
