I saw this on another site. I showed it to my wife and she said it is EXACTLY what they did in the "young pioneers" and later in the Komsomol which all young people had to join in the Soviet Union. She was looking for a portait of Lenin somewhere, figures it MUST be there. She also wonders when they will start taking the children out of school to go harvest crops on the collective farms during the harvest season, which they often did after reciting their chant about thier duty to the motherland and the communist ideal society

We can discipline or fire the teacher who uses children to promote an agenda. It's a little harder to sweep away a 'conspiracy'.

The fact is that The Left has a reputation for "cult of personality". Of course people do tend to be vocal when supporting their candidates or politics of their choosing, but I don't recall ever seeing the worship level I see with Obama. Of course there are some that are more susceptible than others. Namely Left leaning Liberals.

It is a fact that you are ignorant if you believe the bolded. What you are describing are dictatorships which ideologically lie on the extreme right of the spectrum. The only way that a dictator can exist is if the normal electoral cycles are disrupted (generally dictatorships exist where there is no electoral process at all). Whatever Obama is, he is not a dictator and the admiration people have for Obama is no different for that which has been shown to any of the USA previous presidents.

Personally, I don't get it, this requirement to like or dislike political leaders in this way.

I don't remember anything like that in the UK - even the people who still laud Margaret Thatcher aren't that dogmatic.
