Can you check case status online with a 12 digit NBC number?

Or how can you check case status during the N-400 process?

My number had an * between the initials and the number - that worked for me. Regardless, all it showed was that they had received my application. That is all it still shows. I had my citizenship oath August 26th, so while it is nice to be able to check for updates - you may not get any.

Thanks Kathryn! That was it. I thought it was a # sign!!! :bonk:

I was able to add to email and mobile notification plus check status adding the *!

I get the impression that those who have applied more recently (last month or so) are getting status updates on their N-400s. I like the fact that the new site design shows what stage of the process you are at. I wish we'd had that when we did all our paperwork.
