ok, So I got my EAD...I went back to SSA office to have my SSN:

* Maiden name changed to married name

* Address change on file with them

* Remove conditions to work.

I was very specific while I was there.... I got my SSN new card today and it still says:

NOT VALID FOR WORK WITHOUT DHS AUTHORIZATION

I thought this is supposed to be removed? This is the reason why we go back with our EAD?

Do I have to go back, AGAIN?!

not until you get your greencard... EAD is not a change in immigration status... it is merely an interim benefit

YMMV

Unless you are receiving Social Security, Supplemental Security Income or Medicare or have applied for them, SSA does not keep a record of your address. If SSA needs your address they will get it from the IRS.

You can assure that IRS has your current address on record by calling the IRS toll-free number, 1-800-829-3676, and requesting Form 8822, “Change Of Address.”

If you prefer, you may also download Form 8822, “Change Of Address” from the IRS Web site:
