This may seem like a really daft question...But I've noticed that people have written "touched" on their status changes. How do you know when your case has been "touched"?

On the USCIS website, you create a account for yourself, and when your "touched" it shows by the Last Updated column, when the date changes, you've been touched!!

On the USCIS website, you create a account for yourself, and when your "touched" it shows by the Last Updated column, when the date changes, you've been touched!!

I signed up for that today. I went through the AOS process with my ex husband but that's been years ago and they didn't have the option to have your status updated online. I knew I was missing something! Thank you for the information. I think this is a fantastic site. I'm really excited and nervous about the entire thing. It's hard knowing that someone else has the power to determine the outcome of your life!

Since they changed the webite I am not seeing that colum you are talking about.
