We made the 3-hour drive to Omaha for her scheduled 10:55 AM interview. They called her at exactly 10:55, asked her a few questions about her job, our relationship, and whether she had ever voted or claimed to be a US citizen. She then answered her 6 civics questions and was finished in 20 minutes. They never asked to see any documents and then gave her a form with her oath taking date, back in Omaha on September 29. Kind of a pita to have to make the six hour round trip and miss another day of work again next week but this is the final sage and thank God we'll be finished. It's been a long process...

Oh, btw, she didn't have to do her biometrics. Anyone know why not?

Congratulations! I suspect that her biometrics from Removal of Conditions were still valid so they just re-used those.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Hi Summersolstice,

Congratulations on passing your wife passing her citizenship interview and thanks for sharing about your experience here on VJ.

Wow, what a long drive you had for that interview, indeed! Don't worry, only one more long drive to go, then it's the end.....

Good luck with the rest of her immigration journey too, especially with the oath coming up for her soon next week.

Ant

P.S. Hmm...wonder why your wife didn't do her biometrics either. Lol..wish they could give you a refund for biometrics fees since the biometrics were never done for her for the N-400.
