So when they receive your packet does it go into the system right away? can you do some sort of search online or do you have to wait for the NAO1?

u can register at USCIS website and be notified via email, but in a week or so u will get the notice 797C or NOA1, good luck, abby n sheryl

www.uscis.gov but it would be best when you receive your NOA1 since it will include a confirmation/case number starting with WACxxxxxx, this is what you register at uscis site to check if your case have been "touched"

Sometimes the alerts doesn't work.

I registered my email ad so CRIS would sent me the approval notice right after we got approved. But in the USCIS site our case is still pending. My husband just received the hard copy in the mail.
