Can anyone quickly tell me on avg how long a CR is taking as opposed to a fiance visa? And how much longer is does it take to get an EAD on K1 visa?

Timelines say:

K1 - 227 days

Cr - 322 days

Is this avg for Canada filers?

Have someone asking me about it and wasn't sure what the timelines are like anymore.

I like the timeline view thingie from my country portal.

go over to 'my assistant', select 'my portal' (or something similar) then train your eyes to the left.

IMO, it's a better 'picture' of what's going on..

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Sounds about right from reading around here Neiks.

I would say a K1 is taking anywhere from 7-10 months, and a CR-1 anywhere from 8-12 months. Some people seem to get through quicker than others.

EADs are moving pretty quickly these days. Mine was approved in like 51 days.

We filed the I130 paperwork in, what, May of last year. IR-1 interview is October 26th. Almost 18 months. Three months of that was our own delay (waiting for 2008 tax return to get finished), but the rest is all UCIS/NVC.

I think the correct answer is "way longer than you ever thought possible".

Where you stuck in name checks or something? Just curious.

7 months to NOA2 I believe.

did that...thats where the 227 and 322 days came from.

They were too lazy to read your post

I'd say the CR1 number is pretty accurate at around 11 months.

 Yeah sorry, I just skimmed it because I was at work, and everyone can see my computer basically if they just turn their heads. Covert VJ Operation = fail.

(side note... I completely agree with this: "way longer than you ever thought possible")

I'm glad I'm done with it and have the good old 10 GC now. I'm just inquiring for some other poor saps that are wanting to know what they have to do to "because they are in love and need to be together".

I would think that those time lines are speeding up a little.

We applied on August 21 and received our NOA2/Approval on Sept 22.

It seems to be taking a little longer to get a number at NVC because the California service centre is pushing out the approvals.

I was not expecting to be done at USCIS before November/December so it is truly a blessing.
