Hi Everyone,

I am the beneficiary. I will be appointing my husband as my agent.

1) When the DS-230 form will be generated, will it be sent to my husband ?

2) When he receives the form he can mail it to me , I can fill it up and mail it back to him.

I would like to know if he can send the DS -230 form to NVC , or I have to send it to NVC ?

Thanks a lot for all your help.

Regards,

Sal

Thanks a lot for your quick reply.

I am confused now .... . they will email the form or send a hard copy. I thought we need to send a hard copy to NVC with all the originals requested by NVC.

NVC will email the petitioner and the beneficiary the DS-3032 form

It is also best to go ahead and mail a copy of NVC for Just in Case!!!

I think Paris Heart and Saloni are talking about different forms. Saloni you asked about the DS-230 - the biographical data form for the beneficiary. Paris Heart - you replied in response to the DS-3032 - the choice of agent.

Since Saloni asked about the DS-230, here is what I can help you with. If you follow the short cuts you don't have to wait for the DS-230 package to be sent to you. You can download the DS-230 off of the travel.state.gov site and prepare all the supporting documents. When the IV bill is paid, you can send the coversheet and your DS-230 packet all in together.

YOU need to fill out the form and sign part I (I am assuming you are going for a Cr-1 since you posted on the Cr-1 page but you don't have a visa type listed). As to who sends it...it doesn't really matter. I sent mine in to save time (I sent it overnight to NVC)

Good luck.

You must send the original and 1 photocopy of each document you send to NVC. You also might want to change your status from a K-1 to a Cr-1 so we can answer your questions better

Good luck.

The only signatures on the 230 is the intending immigrants (part I)... and Yes, you can send it to the Petitioner to mail once the IV fee bill is paid... Send that and all required original (or certified copies) documents with the 230 package... Does not matter where it is sent from (here or there just as long as they get it)... Also, make a photo copy of the entire package and send it with the 230 originals (this is if you need your original documents back)... Dont forget to write your NVC# on each and every page!!! and make a copy for both of you....
