So we hear Twitter is all the Rage now.

Can someone explain its usefulness?

As far as I know, people send each other little messages or "updates".

I don't get it, it would seem like you would be getting endless messages all day if you had a sizable subscription list.

While we are on the subject of internet technology....

Let me throw this out there.

Someone gave me a IBM thinkpad without a charger, The owner said it had some small problem and since I never could start it up it kinda sat around for a few months.

I asked someone to take a look at it to see if it was any good. (I use Mac and am lost on PC for the most part).

Long story short: the guy called me back a few weeks later and said it was working fine but he did put 165 of ram or memory in it and his charge is 75 bucks.

I'm trying to decide if I should even pick the thing up. I really just wanted the guy to see if it would start up and run as I saw he had a charger for it.

I'm sure he took the RAM from another Thinkpad he had as I saw he had one for parts.

I don't think it has an airport card as he said his was in it.

any thoughts?
