Hi all just want to share my good news that all worrying I have put myself through was all for nothing. All went well today at the Embassy and the petition for my hubby was approved with no problems they didnt even ask to see any prove of our relationship. I just had to show her my passport and domicile things ( I showed my college transcripts, drivers license) Now after that part is done I have another question the consular lady we talked to today said my hubby should receive his packet 3 in about 2 weeks and if all goes well with the forms he sends back with packet 3 he should come to his interview in about 4 or 5 weeks. So I am hoping he can get as much done as possible even before the packet 3 comes like can he get his military record, police record and medical exam done now even though he doesnt have his packet 3 and if he can do this now is there anything he needs to take with him to be able to get his military and police records and medical exam done? Thank you so much to all of you that have helped me through this petition process now its on to the next step.

Congratulations!

I had to show the I-130 approval letter to obtain my police certificate while nothing was required for medical exam in Japan.

I think it is better to check what you need with a local police and a designated medical facility.

The information below is the medical instructions for Egypt. It was very helpful to me. I live in Alex and it took about 3 day to complete the Xrays and bloodwork. Everything including doctors fee cost me about 400LE, but i think this depends on the beneficiary's medical background.

MEDICAL EXAMINATION INSTRUCTIONS

All immigrant visa/refugee applicants must undergo a medical examination prior to receiving a visa. All applicants over the age of fifteen must undergo a blood test for HIV. Applicants over the age of 15 require a blood test for venereal disease and a chest X-ray. Other tests may be required in certain cases. The examination process should be started at least one week before the interview date, as it can take some time to obtain test results. Physicians will refer applicants to a syphilis and HIV testing laboratory.
