Guys,

I have airline tickets purchased to travel to Canada for the X-mas holidays with my wife and brand new baby girl (She's due in two weeks!).

I just received an extension of my TN visa (company filed I-129 via mail) last week and I was wondering if I submit my I-130, & I-485 with the I-131 AP docs on 9/24 am I cutting it too close? I plan to travel on travelling on 12/22 and returning in early January.

I don't know how to check the processing times at my local office but I live in San Diego so the closest will be Chula Vista, I guess. Does anyone know how I can check to see how long it will take to at least get my AP document approved?

As well, I have been married since last November and I am on a fresh TN that will enable me to stay until July of next year. Is there any danger of the agent seeing me with my family when I return to the US and not allowing me to enter on my current TN?

Thanks for all of your help. This site is great.

AP processing times:

I believe, AP's are all processed in MO Service Center, not at local offices. If you look at the processing times for AP, it just says "3 months", but the majority of AP's are approved within 2 months.

Yes. Someone asked a similar question last week. You might want to have a look at that thread:
