K1 getting married before K1 approved

Hey all. Im new here so if this question has already been answered and I havent found it, please be gentle.

My Fiancee has returned to the US with our two children this month. I remained here in the UK to wait for K1 petition to be processed.

We have been together for 7 years and for many various reasons we both have only been able to marry in the last 2.

Well the question is if we were to get married before the K1 petition was completed would it make the petition void?

Would we have to start again with an I-130?

After being together for over 7 years without being apart in that time it is very very hard to be so far apart now. And getting married suddenly seems so much more important. I dont know if that makes sense.

Thanks

Adrian

Thank you, goodnight and may your gods go with you",
