Does anyone else ever get confused between the 10's and the 1's? Especially the old style 10's. I don't even know how many times I've handed a cashier a $1 instead of a $10 and they just looked at me like I'm a complete idiot. In Canada that doesn't happen! There's a coin, or a bill. If its a bill its either blue, purple, green, brown or red. Its a fantastic system!

i get confused. I went to tip the coat check person once, and almost put a 20 instead of a 1... everyone laughed at me.

12/31/2009 - Marriage

07/21/2010 - AOS approved

08/04/2010 - Green Card received (and it's actually green!)

05/30/2012 - Sent ROC packet to VSC

06/08/2012 - Received NOA1 for ROC (Dated 06/04/2012)

Edit: Upon a little reading, I found out they apparently aren't in circulation anymore... disappointing.

I've seen the new US ones before... they ARE nicer, but it'll take some time before they become the majority of what's in circulation. :(

Does anyone remember the Canadian bill style from way back when there were still $1 bills (late 80s/early 90s)? I handed a young cashier one of those in a $20 recently, and she looked at me like I was crazy. She accepted it, but I seriously thought at first that she wasn't going to. lol It made me feel old :(
