Hi All,

My wife is an US citizen and we are planning to apply GC through DCF process in Delhi....She came here on a Tourist Visa and she is eligible to stay here for 6 Months...We enquired in Chennai US consulate about the DCF process for getting clear information...They said, Since my wife is here on a tourist visa, she should apply for a stay permit through Indian Immigration office.....I come to know for applying the Stay Permit, I have to give an Affidavit of Support to my wife and also we need to produce the following Docs., Marriage Certificate and My Address proof. Can someone guide me whether these doc are enough and what kind of affidavit I have to prepare in this regard....

Regards,

Raj

VJ is for immigrating to the USA, so you may not get many answers to your question about Indian residency here. Maybe try the regional forum, where there may be some USCs who live in India.
