Her US embassy Interview today failed, I do not know all the details yet......

I just want to thank you all for the support and kind words given to us along the way.

I know this sound kind of harsh, but this journey has been too long from me. It has been 3 years in the making, it been affecting my health in major ways and sometime the "ONE UP there" is trying to send me many signals which I may have failed to understand them.

So once I will know little more details, I will probably make a very tough decision....

Once again, I want to thank you all again for the friendship, the support, the fun at times making this journey a little easier...

God Bless and Best Wishes to you all....in journey and relationship.

Truly,

Eros and Sally

In ur situation, let ur fiancee submit the CORRECTED ONE and bring with her the wrong one for clarification to the embassy. So things will be cleared up to them...I hope u keep us updated with hows gonna be with ur case.

Smile ^_^ ,things gonna be better,my friend.

Thanks ChuckandRhean

I hate to air my dirty laundry....but

But I really think we (me and Sally) have serious language problems.....that really becomes more and more apparent when things go wrong....and they have been quite a few things go wrong...many up and down..

I really not blaming her...myself... or the US embassy for that matter,

as I said before this is (or was, not sure at moment) a relationship 3+ years now...

But I will be waiting for days now trying to figure it out...

if she got a WHITE slip or not?...what does that say on the white slip?....

If you understand my meaning...

there is a limit on everything....i will be seriously thinking about this relationship in next few days....

Best wishes....

if i may ask how old are you and how old is she???

I feel sad to hear this.. i remembered Josephine a fellow Vj member..

she told me she failed after her interview because of her NBI clearance.

but after 3 weeks she got her visa..

sometimes God has His own reason.. He gives us test that will strengthen us..

I will keep you both in my prayers and i know you will pass all the test.

Thanks Kaibigan...

Can Josephine give us more details, what was the next step she did?

I am trying to figure out what the options are from an honest mistake..

.especially in our case when the mistake was made from a foreign government putting the wrong birth date on a certificate...

Any help is greatly appreciated at this time.....

i'm very sorry erosandsally.

but like you said, it was an honest mistake, usually she would've been told to bring the corrected document and given a white slip (for further administrative review)meaning until she submits that doc the CO won't be able to make a decision.

it wasn't like she made the error in the doc so the CO should have given her a chance to come up with it.

i hope she can tell you exactly how the interview went as far as that doc is concerned.

if she got a WHITE slip or not?...what does that say on the white slip?....

I am certain that she was handed a white slip called form 221g. The form will have instructions and information about the denial. Follow the instructions and provide additional documents as required in the form. She should be okay.

I explained over and over, make sure you take with you the CORRECTED ONE with you...so will not get confused...maybe just destroy the WRONG one....

So which one you all think she took with her.....take a wild guess !!!!!!!

I hope she did not destroy the “corrected one”.

I am really not sure how to deal with this anymore.....

just too tired and sick about it...along other health problems i have already to deal with...

It’s natural what you are feeling right now but you will feel better in a few days.

It does not sound right. They cannot deny verbally. They MUST give her a paper of any color. You should act based on that paper requirement.

In any case, you MUST call or e-mail the embassy or DOS to understand the case status and only after that decide what to do or not to do.

I would not stop without understanding what really happened.

Best wishes!

:) I know what u mean,Eros. And I can strongly sense  an " earnest soul-searching" right there in u,correct me if my instinct could be taken as mere overreaction :oops: .In three years of ur relationship Id say uve known each other quite enough.Well, if couples could put up with their certain "could-be-deal-breakers" in the long-run. "Our Wedding Prayer"

Lord, help us to remember when we first met,and the strong love that grew between us.

To work the love into practical things so nothing can divide us

Grant us a Love that grows stronger with each passing year.

We ask for words both kind and loving

and for hearts always ready to ask forgiveness as well as to forgive.

Guide us to overcome every challenge

and keep our dreams pure to each other always.

Dear Lord,we put our marriage into Your hands.Amen

If your heart acquires strength, you will be able to remove blemishes from others without thinking evil of them.

Don't give up just yet. 3 years in the relationship is no joke. You have not only invested financially on it, but most of all emotionally. As what some people have advised you, call the Manila Embassy and inquire about your case and what you can do to resolve the problem. Good luck and keep the faith!

I wanted to leave in a more positive and personal note and hopefully some other VJ(s) will learn from our mistakes and our troubles.

If nothing else come out of this, it has been a learning experience, even at my age (the GOLDEN age...yea right!), still learning...

I have found some sincere friendships here at VISA JOURNEY, some very helpful information and some other VJ willing to help and given good advice without hesitation......cannot say the same of other sites.

While the Visa process is not easy by any means, it can be made easier if both of you work together

(Soul searching here)

Our problems to be honest, I do not think are VISA related, while Visa process brought to light some of age difference (not much surprise there), some cultural differences (3 different cultures) and language (3 different languages and God know how many other dialects combination between both of us.) issues to some extents.

There are issues, personal characteristics that unless are addressed right away or reasonable time, or these issues will eventually be the little minor straw that finally brake the camel back.....

I have some health issues that i need to care first and my priorities need to shift...again

because I still have 2 children that I am responsible for, and they still need a father...

(mind that i have been divorced for 9 years)

It would have been great to them spending THANKSGIVING together with the new STEP-MOTHER...

To all of you....my sincere thanks....CIAO
