can somebody give any idea if sending wedding gown to USA is fine through mailing or package?..do they add charges alike taxes when they arrived in USA?

It's no problem to send it through the mail, for security purposes you might want to send it through a courier company like DHL or FedEx... whether they will charge taxes is completely up to US Customs, but if you mark the dress as "personal effects" it's not too likely they will charge tax.

I asked the assistant at one of my wedding dress fittings what the best way to transport it would be, and she recommended taking it in a dress bag as carry-on on the plane, because it was least likely to get crushed that way. If you folded it carefully into a big, sturdy box that's probably not a bad idea either - either way, you will probably have to get the dress steam ironed once you get there to get creases out.
