Hi,

In the interview appointment letter which I received from NVC, there is information that the consulate-specific information on how to prepare for the interview is available at ImmigrantVisas.State.Gov --> Interview Preparation ---> U.S. Embassy/Consulate General-specific interview guidelines

But when I downloaded the instructions for Montreal the pdf file contains only a security notice... nothing about bringing 2 photos, Xpress envelope, etc.

Do you think they uploaded an incomplete file or something actually did change in the way they handle business?

Thanks Trailmix! I have that old file downloaded but it is dated Dec 2006...the file they send us to in the appointment letter is dated July 2009...even though it is only a security notice...I was just wondering if anything changed...

Nothing has changed that I know of. I wonder if they have just written the incorrect web address on the letter - it certainly seems like it.

It's also strange that NVC didn't send you anything other than that. Normally the letter is 4 pages - or at least it was, and contained all the information, photos, envelope etc.

You know, I would email them and ask them - in case they do have it wrong, at least then they would know, can't hurt to let Montreal know as well

The 4-page appointmet letter which NVC sent has only basic info and a list of documents that had been submitted and accepted by NVC. Here is what they say about the interview:

----------------------------------------------------------------

Benefitiary must bring the following to the visa interview:

* Any original documents that were requested by the NVC but were not submitted

to the NVC

* The medical examination results if not submitted to the Embassy/Consulate by

the physician

* The correct size and number of photographs

* Valid passport for all traveling applicants

-----------------------------------------------------------------

It is quite vague - "the correct size and number of photographs"...

I guess it's time for "Ask IV-DV Montreal" ;) Thanx Trailmix!

Yes it never has stated the number of photos required, it's silly!
