How long until your checks were cashed?

I mailed the package on Tues the 15th and it was delivered on Thurs morning the 17th. The checks(for K-1 and K-2 AOS) still haven't cleared my bank account. I find that a little odd since they just use the numbers for electronic debit. How long do most people have to wait until they see their payments clear? I saw that most people were getting NOA1 in about two weeks. Any insight? Thanks

Well, now it's been one week since they received my package and my checks still haven't cleared my bank nor have I received any sort of letter from them. I sent it with delivery confirmation but it only states that it was delivered to the zip code. Wondering if maybe it went to the wrong PO box or I should just wait longer. Is it common for one week to go by without them cashing the payment? I assumed that would be the first thing they would do upon receiving a package. I doubt they would waste anytime looking for proper paperwork and processing the applications until they know they have been paid. I just want to know that they got it and they received the money so I know the ball is rolling.

We mailed our K1 AOS to Chicago Lockbox a day after you - we mailed it on Wed Sep 16. It shows as delivered on Fri Sep 18.

Our check has been cashed, and I saw it clear my account today.

Not so great news for me! I keep checking my account daily but nothing as of today. Perhaps since I'm filing two AOS applications for K1 and K2 it might slow it down a bit. I guess I'll keep waiting.

Mine took 10 days. I got the NOAs in my mailbox the same day the check cleared.

Yup. Us too. The 3 NOA1 docs for AOS/AP/EAD were in our mailbox when we got home tonight.

Ours were cashed at light speed. Within 3-4 days after the petition was received. If only they would assign the guys who cash the checks to processing applications and assign the processors to something valuable and out of the way like watching a single border camera screen all day every day....LOL

I guess I should just wait longer(really what else can I do? ) and see what happens. I'm surprised that your checks cleared the same day you had your NOAs in your mailbox. I guess that blows my theory that they don't really begin working on a case until they have the payment. Like I said, I just want to know that it is underway. Once I know that, I won't really sweat the time it takes for other notices or an RFE since I know that something is being done.

Maybe I should start a new post but I was wondering how some of you keep up to date with the USCIS? Do you just track your case online, can you sign up for email or SMS alerts from them? I assume you have to wait until your first NOA to start tracking the case but I could be wrong. Thanks for any help.
