Hi there!

My name is Marlies and I'm from Belgium.My fiance is American and next week we will send out our I-129F to the California center.

Is there anyone who will be sending their package soon or has done that recently?

It's always nice to hear people's stories and get some support! :)

05/25/2007: met in Bruges, Belgium

07/03/2008 : first visit to the US

08/20/2008 : flew back to hometown

09/09/2008 : B2 visa approved

10/15/2008 : arrive back in the US

03/30/2009 : B2 extension approved

06/15/2009 : proposal

09/28/2009: I-129F sent !

09/29/2009: I-129F signed for at USCIS!

09/30/2009: Check cashed!

09/30/2009 : Flight back to hometown

10/06/2009 : NOA1 Hardcopy in the mail

10/18/2009 : James returned from Belgian trip

12/24/2009 : Santa brought us our NOA2 11:01 pm Belgium time and 4:01 pm USA time! Merry Christmas to us!

I'm going through the I-129F myself, waiting for the interview date.

Thank you so much for the support! We are very excited to start the process. Marlies and I are actually going back to Belgium next week since her B2 visa is expiring the end of September. She has been here an entire year and it has really made it nice to get to know each other. So actually by the time we get this filed we have almost spent a year and a half together. Our main question is at the moment, what are the mistakes that are made or simple things that are overlooked when intitially sending in the packet? We are just trying to make sure there aren't any small things that may delay our process! Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. How has your process gone so far? Sorry for the delay, I'm in Belgium yes - just came back from visiting my fiancé :)

I've found the guides here to be the best help one can get combined with the "live" advices" from forum members.

Process has been quite smooth so far, I'm almost done, waiting for the interview date.

Double check everything, signatures and such, our I-129F was first sent back to us because fiancé forgot to sign a form :P

Make copies of everything also :)

Where exactly are you from? I'm from Roeselare, West-Vlaanderen.

Its good to hear your process is going smooth, lets hope that mine will too!

I think we are positive now about sending it in after we double checked like a thousand times.

This site has given me lots of information and it feels like everyone is so friendly!

Good luck with the rest of the process and let me know when you got your interview!

Hello I am about to send off my documents for the I-129f as well. I am so excited about being a part of this process. I've met an amazing woman and anything I have to do will be worth being with her for the rest of my life. I hope the best for all of you and hope we can all talk back and forth about what type of progress we are making. Also since I am a noob I hope that someone can help direct me in the right path myself. Also a little help with how to use this site would be great too! : D
