September 2009 Filers! CSC

We got approved today. So CSC is still working on files!

We are so happy and it's the perfect Christmas present.

For all the people who haven't got touched or approved yet: your time will come and we are all here to support you guys!! Just be patient, because I am sure that we will see almost everyone of the September filers approved by the first 2 weeks of January. Try to celebrate Christmas with your families and/ or friends.

Hope they keep approving some more today before the holiday starts.

I feel like even after approval it just transferred from one wait to another wait, but at least there's a step or progress. Now it looks like my process may be delayed by a clerical error from the UAE on my fiancee's police clearance, and we may have to hold off scheduling our appointment even after we're eligible to do so. So, even though we're approved before you, you may get your interview and visa before us...

It will happen guys keep hanging in there, we're here cheering for you! We're all in this together.

No, the waiting game has certainly not ended, but it is a relief knowing they didn't send any RFE's... the first step is a major hurdle.

For those of you that said you called NVC and you aren't in their system yet, make sure you are talking to a real person. NVC does not put the K1 petitions in their automated system and it will always tell you that you are not in the system yet.

I think I read someone got NOA2 on 12/16 and NVC doesn't have it yet? That is defintely strange. Did you talk to a real person? If not, call back.. you are probably already on your way to your consulate or already there.

Nothing came in the mail from NVC. I called them four days after I got NOA2 and they said I wasn't there.. I called them later that night and they told me I was there but in AP. I called them two days later and they told me I had already been sent to the consulate. They are open until Midnight EST... call several times a day and you could get a different answer each time

yes, it happens to most people. Your signature shows you got NOA2 on the 19th.. the touch on the 21st was probably when they had your file to mail you the hard copy. The touch today was probably when they mailed your file to NVC.

What's AP?

Administrative processing.. or Additional processing or something like that. We were in AP for two days.. some people have been in AP for weeks.. I think it's a generic answer for them to tell you that you are in AP and you should only worry if you are in AP status for more than a few days. If you are in AP longer than that then it is something to with the USC background check or they found something USICS missed.

Don't worry if they tell you that you are in AP. I got all stressed, but it was nothing.
