05/25/2007: met in Bruges, Belgium

07/03/2008 : first visit to the US

08/20/2008 : flew back to hometown

09/09/2008 : B2 visa approved

10/15/2008 : arrive back in the US

03/30/2009 : B2 extension approved

06/15/2009 : proposal

09/28/2009: I-129F sent !

09/29/2009: I-129F signed for at USCIS!

09/30/2009: Check cashed!

09/30/2009 : Flight back to hometown

10/06/2009 : NOA1 Hardcopy in the mail

10/18/2009 : James returned from Belgian trip

for everyone that has their NOA2: when should I start calling the NVC, or will they let me know when they've sent it out. I'm not really sure about this step, what actually happens at the NVC? Do they make any decisions there, like can you get denied anything, or is it all basically administrative processing?

I tried to call NVC today but they ask me about my NOA2 notice what it said I told them I dont have the hard copy yet just the email they said it will take upto 90 day I know this is not true I will call back when I get the hardcopy. I posted (copy and pasted from someone else) in this thread the proscess of calling NVC and getting the case number and tracking it to the Embassy. you dont have to do anything if you dont want you could just sit back and wait for the embassy to mail out packet3 to your fience but I think most of us want something to do and want to track the package to the embassy. The embassy in Thailand has the packet 3 and 4 on there website so we have all the forms done they are in the mail to my fience now she will get them do the medical and police check and then send them to the embassy. you should check your countrys form for what top do next or your embassys website.

Search my posts and you will find the information for calling NVC. It should only take a couple days for in/out of NVC unless there are issues. They can tell you the ship date and then you can "try" to track your package. Once the DHL shows delivered, you can start calling DOS to see what your status is. Good luck!
