NVC doesn't log K-1's in their automated phone system. You have to press 5 to speak to a real person and then ask about your case. You're probably already out of NVC and don't know it. :)

Okay, so I called NVC today and found out that my petition has been forwarded. So..once CSC gets off their duff and hands out some NOA2s here is what to do: call NVC at 603-334-0700 about 5 days after your NOA2, press 1 for english, then 5 to be put on hold and wait. They will ask the case number WAC##########, your name and birth, fiance(e) name and birth. Then they will tell you if it is received and if forwarded onto the embassy. I am sure that someone earlier in the thread added this, but I just wanted to pass it along.

Does anyone know how to determine receive date to embassy? Do I call DOS for that? Okay..more waiting.. :whistle:

I found this on how to track it from DHL hope it works please let us know.

Hi brothers and sisters we all have that curiosity to know when our cases arrived at the embassy ,so i tried to find out how and it took me a lil while from what i been reading in some topics here they told how but when i tried never worked but when i just tried simple thing found it worked and got the track # and where is our files now just follow those simple steps and you will get to

1- when you know from AVR that your case was forward to embassy ( mm/dd/yyyy) lets take an example case forward to embassy March 20th 2009

2- go to DHL TRACK

3- then under track list click on track reference

4- put the reference in this shape EXP19MAR2009A and push track

now we seen its completed in 2oth but we searched in 19th yes because they schedule shipping day before so DHL know in advance when they will ship it so day before will be your exact day for NVC shipping your case to your embassy

i tried it this way and worked but i found 2 cases to cairo so which one is mine dosent matter as along as i can keep an eye on it for sure the month will be changing just the example above for explanation

Dec. 18, 2009 NOA 2 Dated(no email)

Dec. 24, 2009 NOA 2 Hardcopy

Dec. 28, 2009 NVC received but not sent to Embassy

Dec. 28, 2009 Sa maied Packet 3 to Embassy

Dec. 29, 2009 NVC forward to Bangkok, Embassy. Tracking by DHL

Jan. 03, 2010 Received by Bangkok Embassy

Jan. 06, 2010 Received email from embassy interview is set for Jan22.

Jan. 22, 2010 Interview at BKK Embassy passed

Jan. 27, 2010 Picked up Visa

Its not about how you pick your nose its what you do with the booger!

YES...I just did it and found out that my petition was in-transit on the 14th. Call NVC and get your ship date and then you can do it also. Or PM me your ship date if you are having trouble and I can help you.

I also found out that you can call Department of State (DOS) 202-663-1225 to confirm the receipt of your packet at the embassy. You will need your NVC number, I believe, which you can get when you call NVC or the letter they send you.

Sigh.... I really thought there would have been some sort of approvals today.... nothing happening yet!! But seriously, this is SO frustrating! I really wish there would be something (no offense to all of you with touches today) to distract me.... sigh... silly American government....

I'm sorry but what kind of touches are you guys talking about? How do you check if it was "touched"? I check my case status on uscis.gov and that's about it, all I see is the same answer everyday, the same round button lit up blue, Initial Review.. :( What am I missing here? Oh yea, our filing date is Sept14 when they received it so we should find out something soon? I called them today and they told me to be patient that CSC has a processing time of 5 months...I am thinking REALLY? NO WAI MAN! :D Because I already knew that... So will I really only get an answer in FEBRUARY? :crying:

Im an august filler and didnt get any news yet ! Still waiting for Noa 2 !! hang in there, pretty sure something is going to happen quick !! :)

Anybody else freaking out about how slow CSC is compared to VSC!?!

I just checked Igors List and about 13 VSC cases got approved just yesterday, whereas CSC seems to approve a couple of cases every 2-3 days!

what the .... is going on??? :angry:

Looks like 2 thirds of July K1s are approved in VSC, and a bunch from August.

Dont get me wrong... Im happy for people getting approved so quickly but I wish there would be some movement at CSC.

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
